Hey Jackie, We decided on the Silver Package. We just went through Excellence's Website. We didn't need to put a deposit down. We just booked our room and I think a few days before we leave, they will charge my credit card. This gives us time to debate if we want to add another day or so. We chose Friday June 6th as our wedding date at the stone gazebo. I think a small wedding will be great....but classy and fun and less stress...I hope, lol Well, we picked our date...location, the appetizers ...the dinner menu....we put in our request (although too soon) for our cocktail hour and reception. I have a big binder I put together of the resort...and my vision of our wedding...and pics of possible wedding dresses...hairstyles....gifts for the bridal party etc...still working on cake options and am on and off about wedding colors. I am just finishing school to be a travel agent....so once I am done...then it will be ..serious planning.... Keep me posted Darlene

Welcome Angela....Congrats....try not to be overwhelmed. Is it because you aren't 100% sure of where you want to get married....or because there are soooo many options....(which there is) and not sure what to pick. Take your time.....take notes...figure out what is important to you and your future hubby...and look at the different/or specific resorts and see if it meets your criteria. My Godchild had her Honeymoon at Secrets Maroma.....they were so shocked at how beautiful...it was. The service...the food...the overall feeling. You will know...when you found the right place.

I am getting married in Mexico.....Excellence Playa Mujeres ...06/06/2014

I am having the Bridesmaid dresses be Cobalt Blue and flowers will be Bright Pink and Orange....sounds funny...but looks really awesome together....with a back drop of the ocean and sky.

We both love June....but my wedding will be June 6th 2014.... still a year away : ( I am excited for you......you must be going crazy with excitement! How long are you going for? What type of room did you and soon to be hubby...decide on getting?

Hi....I am new to this site and still trying to figure things out...without making a mess : ) Here's a question for anyone. I am going with the "Silver" package...and the have already figured out the menu. I also know they serve desert with the meal as well. So, if my wedding party & guests are going to be most likely under 15 people....is it wrong to go with a two tier wedding cake? Does anyone think...that I would be over doing it? I have asked ...if there were left overs could we give some to guests and bring some back to room and was told no....the ants are hungry? hmmmm Second Question.....what type of cake and flavors and designs did you have or will have. Any regrets ? Thanks again for your time...and love this site...I have read every page.... Congrats to all planning their Big Day : )
