You could go to Key West and Grand Caymen on a wedding cruise to cut the cost there. DR has tons of all inclusive hotels. The options are endless, this website is great for info on the resorts. Good luck hunting!!!

I agree, pack "fragile" items in carryon and all liquids and other favors in an extra checked bag. Congrats and hope you find tons of DIY stuff on here, I sure have.

Congrats!!! There is a ton of information on here about mexico, we LOVE Cozumel and are cruising to get there, great scuba diving there as well. There are many forums on here to help you in your decision about where to get married.

Congrats!! That is a great idea!! Negril Sunset at the Palms is all inclusive, and very romantic/private, few if any children, reasonable rates.

Many people have said that they are using Ipod/Ipad music...maybe that would be a solution in a location other than the nightclub.

I too think 2-3 hours is a short time to be in my wedding dress, so we will probably have an AHR at a later date to be able to wear it again.

This is not my first wedding, but it is the first REAL marriage that I am gonna have. I have always wanted to get married on a cruise ship, unfortunately the first husband worked on one and wanted no part of it.....Now I am able to complete my dream with the man of my dreams!! (not LLCoolJ but my reality man, lol) I have been on 21 cruises and although I LOVE Carnival, I decided on RCCL because the boat going out of my home port is nicer than the Carnival one. The packages are comparable on either cruise line, because RCCL includes photos and Carnival is separate. RCCL decor is just classier as well. Carnival is more of a Party boat atmosphere. Andreann, The cruise package comes with a photographer and photos and did you have to hire them separately to do your TTD and wedding?? How did that work for you??

Are you including your children in your wedding ceremony?? I saw on here last night a few people were doing the Sand ceremony and including the children. My children are grown, but I thought this was a great idea to include them in the new family.

There are many all inclusive resorts in JA to choose from depending on your style...My fiance and I stayed at a lesser publicized AI in Negril called Sunset at the Palms and it was great. There was one child there the whole time we were, very lush tropical setting. We wanted romantic quiet time and we got just that. The Grand Palladium is georgeous, but very busy, also in Negril....Happy hunting!

I am bound by giving the CL a count 90 prior to sailing so I must get out my STD and get back RSVP early as well.

Most resorts have a children's camp/sitter service otherwise if you don't want foreign strangers watching your children, get a responsible teen to tend to them during the ceremony/reception.

I used The Knot.com because it was convienent, easy and free......heck if you can't choose, do both and see which on turns out best!
