I keep hearing people talk about a Rehearsal dinner/Welcome Dinner? I was wondering if any one has done one? And how much are the cost? If any? And what did most people do after your dinner if you didn't opt for the private reception and Dj? No one wants the party to end at 8:30pm! Any feedback is grealty appreciated!

That's such a great question. I seen all these bride having welcome dinners and rehersal dinners and i too was wondering if there was an additional cost to those? Since you are flying out of Ottawa as well i love to hear your feedback when you have your special day

Hi Krista33 Thanks for looking into this for me... WHat i ended up doing is going through my contract they provided to me when i reserved my wedding date with a fine tooth comb. I did so much research for a wedding photographer i didn't want to see my efforts go to waste. So i finally found that based on my contract all i had to do was pay $100 +$75 "vendor fees" How they came up with that amount is besides me? So i provided that information to Santena and she wrote back that is was fine. If anyone is looking for the cheapest photographer prices in Jamaica feel free to message me. I spent a lot of time on this subject and finally booked a photographer. Now on to flowers.. lol

Let me know what you find, ie: price, policy.. i did book my group back in November.. so i don't know if i fall under their "new" policy. I am still waiting on a reply back from them.

I agree with the comments above that it is our wedding day and we should bring in whomever we want. I did write back to the wedding coordinator telling her that it is a once in a lifetime moment and that i should be able to choose who i hire to capture that moment. I also porceed to tell her that i've seen on other wedding photographer websites pictures taken at the Iberostar resort. I am waiting to hear back i will keep you posted. But i thought i would check here first to see what everyone else did? I did get a price quote from many photographer charging a $350 vendor fee included in their photgraphy package, maybe that's where the 1 night stay($250) + guest pass($100) for the day is considered to be a "vendor fee". THoughts? I would hate to pay a deposit for a photographer that isn't allowed in?
