  1. I would tell whoever your working with at the Miami office that you have written x amount of emails to Perla and haven't heard back. That's what I had to do, then she was very attentive to me... Still trying to finalize some items though. What are you doing for the reception? Are you extending it?
  2. Hey Ladies, My wedding is in November. We are wrapping up all the final details now... and was running into some frustration. I was hoping any former brides of the Paradisus or other upcoming brides could shed some light... How long did your reception at the Gabi go until? How long was the dancing/dj part of it?? Our Ceremony is on the Gabi Bridge at 5:00pm, the cocktail hour is at the Gabi from 6-7pm, Reception at Gabi as well. I'm figuring announcements, dinner, speeches will be from 7-8pm. So, I am concerned that the dancing/dj only goes for 2 hours? Until 10:00pm? is that normal? They are saying I only have the gabi is only for 3 hours? Of course there is an option to extend, but that is with a $$$ fee. Did anyone else run into this issue? Would love some insight and suggestions? Thanks so much!
  3. Thanks KK2013! I'm glad our dates are close to one another, we can feel eachother out on the steps of the planning process. Good Luck to you too!
  4. Hi Ladies, We are all booked for November 23, 13!! We are actually going for our site visit to meet vendors and food tastings on March 3rd. We went with the Aqua Package with ceremony on Gabi Bridge, Cocktail Hour & Reception at Gabi Club. Welcome party and Rehearsal dinner are pending, waiting to hear back from Miami office. We are having a bit of a larger group, we are thinking about 140 guests. So, deciding on where the welcome party and rehearsal dinner are held is a bit of a challenge. I'm also debating now if we should change to the Taylor made - if it makes sense since we are having a bigger group. The Aqua package might end up costing that once we are done adding extras with the welcome party etc. IDK... Can anyone tell me the names of the vendors the hotel uses? Is it just Blue Lens? And is that who their Video is through too? Also, has anyone gone to the site visit yet? If any of you have advice or suggestions of what I should ask while I'm there, that will be very helpful. I'm starting to stress, like I need to prep for my pre-wedding visit. Thanks girls!
  5. Anisha, Very helpful info. I too was there a few weeks ago. Didn't stay, just site visit. I was curious to the pool / swim-up bar atmosphere on the la esmeralda side? Is it fun, do they have any activities? Music playing? Thanks in advance! -K

  7. KK2013, First of all, Good Luck with your wedding! I am in the same boat as you were awhile ago. I just got back from Riviera Maya and have narrowed my choices down to 2 places for our Nov 2013 Wedding (estimated 100 people). One being Paradisus La Esmeralda as well. I'm in the process of getting more information from both resorts. But my biggest question and concern is to whether or not to use a local travel agency for the wedding and group accommodations along with coordinating wedding plans? Or did you just strictly work through the hotels? Was it easy for your guests to make accommodations? How did you your save the dates? Did you make a website and include that info on the StD's? Sorry, so many questions. I'm just not sure what direction to go and would like some input from a source that has gone through the same thing, that is pretty recent. Any insight would be helpful!! Thank you!!
