So ive been planning my wedding for the past few months. i choose to use my aunt as a travel agent since shes part of the family. ive gotta say i wish i never did. the main thing im wondering is what are the duties of a travel agent for destination weddings? especially with follow up about bookings. it seems like she wants me to be all over everyone every couple of days asking them about their deposit and when its going to be in. i dont feel comfortable with doing it and especially not so often. i got everyone to call into her so is it not her responsibility to be making follow up sales call if she hasnt heard from them? i could go on about the service ive received form her. i know ill never be recommending her. if it was easy enough to just find another agent i would. shes family. i cant just do that.

Please help! Ive absolutely fallen in love with the Barcelo Langosta in Costa Rica. So much that no 5 star in any place in the world would compare. Ive been quoted $1970 per person (choke) flying from Alberta and Manitoba for a group of 50+. It would be booked through Air Canada because right now they are the only carriers as I'm told that fly out there at that time. We have even looked at other times like Jan 2014 and we get about the same price. Am I looking to early? This price doesn't seem right for a low season 3.5 star resort. I don't want to give up yet. Ive come very close to having my dream crushed. I need some help please.
