  1. wow that sucks! I wonder if you pay a charge theyll let the guests just pick once they arrive.. How do you include that on your invite? I guess maybe on the RSVP card you add that information?
  2. I also want to have a crystal backdrop for the ceremony but itll be at the pergola not beach.. has anyone done this before at the pergola or have pictures? Also, does anyone know where to purchase this backdrop for cheap?? thanks
  3. Yes they both do great work but im just not sure... Can you tell me what the difference is with their style of photography?? I am clueless when it comes to this lol
  4. for the people who already said they couldnt attend i dont think i would send them invites.. maybe just save the dates with one of those little saying.. but then again if they already said no maybe dont send them anything? im not too sure... as far as what you said regarding invites... we have to put meal preferences?? The guests cant just decide once tey arrive? I hate the thought of asking people what they want to eat so early in advance
  5. hey ladies!! so im going to send my save the dates out this week, how many months later should i be sending out the formal invitaion and when should i ask for the RSVP my wedding is may 16th 2014. Also, were doing the pergola and then the terrace but im not sure how many people we will be having.. does anyone know how many people the terrace can hold comfortably? I dont want it to be so tight nobody can move! Also, im stuck between two photographers, Dean Sanderson and Gonzalo Nunez... they both have great prices (gonzalo a bit better) but i cant decide! they both have awesome pictures!! Does anyone have any adive/suggestions for all my questions lol Thanks!!!!

  7. Does anyone know how many ppl fit at the long recantuglar tables?? And how many for the round ones? Im not sure yet how many guests we will have so im thinking if its not going to be a lot we can just have a long table and no seating arrangements.

  9. ohh yes thats right your doing the tiffany chairs. theyre very nice i like them a lot but really dont want to pay extra money for them! lol i also am going to do the welcome bags and fans! i read in a magazine that for destionation wedding if your doing OOT bags it is not becessary to have favors so im not sure if ill have favors at dinner either. im not too sure about the welcome table.. i thought about maybe having like maracas or something where the guest book would be? i dont know though...and for the table assignment thing im not sure about that either yet since i have no clue how many ppl will be coming i might just have one long table so no assigned seats
  10. yeah im not sure either... I am not crafty at all so making my own stuff isnt really going to work to well lol and i dont want to bring soo much stuff with me i want to use as much as the resorts stuff as possible but their centerpeices are insane! im going to bring with me chair bows. table runner and some colored napkins to break up all the white linen they give you. Im going to end up just using thier centerpeices though im pretty sure.. are you doing favors or do you have any ideas on wedding favors?
  11. lol you just edit the info in your profile... i know its soo exciting! I cant believe you already have so many people confirmed thats great! It sucks how expensive everything is though like extra per person... Did you hire an outside photographer or youre using the resorts? and do you have a decor idea yet?
  12. hi shannonmarie when you estimated 9500$ is this including an outside photographer or your using the resorts? Also was that including extra centerpeices? Im just tryin to figure out myself how much things should end up since im trying to stay within a budget also.. thanks!

  14. hi kal520 ive seen brides on here do that too and it looks nice! some even just left the bouquets laying on the table withuot vases but thats up to you. you can get those pretty "gems" or "crystals" to fill the vase with if you want in whatever color scheme your doing.. that might work? Also, what outside vendor are you using for your bridemaids bouquets? I also has 4 girls in my party and really rather not pay 65$ each if i can find someone to charge half that.
  15. tlseege, what is the bridal roll call? Also, i was just wondering what do they do as far as decorations and moving everyone around if there is more then 1 wedding on the same daY?? I hope we dont feel rushed or forgotten about!
  16. yes annetta the communication is really sucky! If you are working with a travel agent you should let them know and they can contact the resort directly it would be much easier! Or if anything i would just buy a phone card and call the resort myself at least just to make sure your date is confirmed..
  17. also, will anyone be getting married mid may 2014? my wedding is may 16th 2014. woohooo! Ill also be doing my site visit in about 5 weeks! cant wait!!! ill be at now jade may8th-may12th so i will be looking out for any brideS!
  18. KJRAZZLE i was in the same boat as you! I think my post was right before yours on here about the price lol I also have set a budget of 10-12k max. We already hired an outside photographer so im hoping that we will still be ok with everything. Its all the add-ons that hike the final cost up so much! The actual packages arent bad is flowers, centerpeices, dj that add up. Does anyone on here know about the dj situation? Like since i wont be needing the photographer from the package can i have dj time insteaD?
  19. hi karii, im not sure about that room incentives with now jade either.. my TA told me the same thing, every 5 rooms booked you get 1 free but im not sure if its one night free or one room for the entire duration of your stay.. have you received any information about that?
  20. Hi ladies!! Ill be getting married at now jade on may 16th 2014. anyone else there that same weekend??? Im also going to do a site visit this may. Soo excited to get away ! ill be there may 8th-12th...so i was just wondering does anyone have any idea how much the actual destination wedding at now jade should run? the packages arent expensive but im sure with all the add-ons it will get quite pricey! Im definitely trying to stay within a budget and i saw some brides say in their review that they were shocked when they saw the final quote. Im just getting nervous about all this! We'll be sending out about 100 save the dates but im expecting around 40 (hopefully). We went with the diving package but i will def be bringing a few things with me like OOT bags, chair bows, and table runners. As far as decor i was planning on just going with the resorts stuff for flowers and centerpeices but its just soo expensive since they only include the brides bouquet and one centerpeice! Id also need to pay extra for a dj for the reception. I also went and hired an outside photographer so im hoping that since i wont be needing the photographer from the package maybe i can subsitute that for something else.. If anyone has any idea on how much now jade weddings actually end up costing roughly, thatll be great!! thanks!

  22. Hi everyone! I am getting married may 17 2014 at now jade and am super excited!!! I am wondering if anyone has advice on a little problem im having.. This may be silly but I can not figure out how to send Pilar back the credit card authorization for she sent me !!! Its in PDF format so i cannot just type in it.. I printed it out but how can i send it back to her? i hope im not the only one with this problem! lol Also, the packages arent so expensive, were doing the divine package but, with all the extra addings i think this will all add up very quickly! Does anyone know or have a suggestion on how much the final costs usually are? Like after centerpieces and more flowers, dj etc? Any suggestions will help. Thanks!
