  1. I am so excited about hosting our wedding in Riviera Maya, but need a lot of help! Does anyone know of a wedding planner/event coordinator that has experience with East Indian weddings in Playa del Carmen/Cancun? Is anyone hosting or been to an East Indian traditional wedding here? I need help finding mendhi artists, a priest, planning the sangeet and how to make Indian veg food options possible. Is anyone planning to have their wedding at a site other than a hotel? I really appreciate all your help, advice, suggestions!
  2. Congratulations! It's hard to hear that your day didn't go as well as you hoped; I'm sure your guests were amazed and had a great time! Hope the honeymoon was wonderful! I am thinking of planning my wedding in November at the Paradisus. Because of the limited time and because we are having an East Indian wedding, I was hoping that the planning would be possible and easy, especially because they host so many weddings. I would really appreciate your complete candor and advice! I have less than 6 months to plan, and have very few venue choices now. And did you find that everything had to spelled out in great detail in the contract prior to the deposit? Or is there a more detailed contract made after the deposit? Thank you so much! ****Is anyone hosting or has been to an East Indian traditional wedding here? 3. Hi! My fiance and I want to plan our wedding at the Sanctuary Cap Cana, and would really appreciate help with this big endeavor! We aren't sure who to communicate with- could you share contact info? We wanted to plan for early March, but that is just too soon, otherwise open to dates. Any suggestions on time of year to plan, ie low season, comfortable weather, less tourists. We want to have a traditional East Indian celebration, and hope our closest 80-100 family members and friends will celebrate with us. We will likely have our guests staying between this hotel and a neighboring place- can you suggest reasonable accommodations close by to the Sanctuary? We are really excited, and can't thank you enough for your help- and anyone else that can share planning suggestions and advice with us!
  4. Dear Casaundra! Congratulations on your wedding! I am sure it was amazing! And hope you are enjoying your honeymoon! My fiance and I would like to book the O&O for 2013, but are not able to find contact information. Would you mind sending information on who you worked with there? Is it under new management? Do you have any other tips and suggestions to make it more affordable, fun, etc? I appreciate the tip to rent the poolside huts to make party last longer. Was the weather a problem at all in October? I really appreciate your help! Best, Sne [email protected]
  5. hi, I'm planning an Indian traditional wedding, and we are between the Fairmont and grand velas. Suggestions? need help with arranging a horse, mehendi, priest, veg Indian food-- would really appreciate all of your help and advice. Any dos and donts?
  6. Hi everyone! Congratulations to y'all!! I finally met my hunk of bollywood wrapped in Southern gentleman charm! He proposed in February and we've been in the clouds since! I'm very lucky! We are planning our wedding at the Fairmont mayakoba in March 2013! We are super excited! I would love to hear from others that planned or are planning their wedding there, as well as from other Indian brides. I'm so overwhelmed! Flowers, airport transportation, potable water, mehndi ladies, Indian vegetarian food, sangeet/rehearsal dinner...! We are hoping to make it as Indian as possible, but still enjoy the destination. We love Mexico, and celebrated our engagement in Isla Mujeres and Tulum! Please hit me with suggestions and ideas! We have hardly any time and have so much to plan! The Fairmont is rather pricey, and strict with their vendors. Any ideas around this or some place equally beautiful and on the small side that would accomodate an Indian wedding? Thank you so much in advance! I'm excited to be part of the forum, and still cant believe I'm finally planning my wedding!
