  1. I must say being on this site has helped in abundance in decision making as I'm sure most brides on here feel the same way. I am thinking of bringing my own decor (such as centerpieces and etc.) for cost effective purpose. Has anyone brought their own centerpieces and decor for a large group? if so, was it a hassle at the airport or given a hard time through customs? Thank you brides in advance!!
  2. Thank you for the response and reassurance. I feel at ease now. Wow 160 people. I just got a quote back for 90 wedding guest and...lets just say I'm trying to cut back on somethings . Where was the reception held? At the buffet stance were there helpers (waiters, service etc) I noticed the taxes states it includes service.
  3. Thank you all for sharing your experience. I am also set to marry this year (aug 24) and have some concerns. Recently, I have been hearing hotel guests experiencing food poisoning. Has any of the bride or guests experienced any illness? I hear these occurences seem to happen frequently in the past few months, as stated on Trip Advisor. I am having a buffet for the dinner option and highly concern. In terms of the packages, I find the ultimate package Ideal because of the add on such as; a band, photo, video and etc are included.
  4. Congratulations to all the new brides for 2013. I'm happy to see the future brides for 2013 at Dreams La Romana. This thread has been so helpful. However, I was wondering could any of you provide information on the room rates for the wedding groups? Do you find the packages/fees reasonable for? To all the newly married brides, do you find the wedding gazebo private and not centered in the middle of a busy area? Any feedback would be highly appreciated....locking in a venue has become the only stressful factor in this whole process. yikes.
