Hey everyone! I'm new to the forum and am so relieved to find that other people are having luck by calling, instead of emailing. The more you know... ANYWAYS... I submitted all of the forms for the date request of September 14th and didn't hear anything for several days. I know that they work on island time down there and specifically did a destination so it would be stress free, so I understand that responses take a little bit of time, but I just wanted some kind of confirmation that they at least received my request and the documents I sent were sufficient. After a few days I emailed again just saying "hey, wanted to make sure you got everything and I don't need to resend anything" and the same day received a response with the contract and confirmation papers to sign. I don't plan on letting this wedding get the best of me, and am hoping to keep it small, but still want to have enough people to offer a group rate (which I can't get a straight answer about either), so maybe 25-30 guests? Reading through all the different threads has definitely answered a lot of my questions, so I think I should be able to stay calm, cool, and collected for at least another few months lol. Hearing that some of you have already sent out Save the Dates for dates further than mine has me a little worried though. Thinking I should get on that... Hmmm... If anyone has any pictures they're open to sharing I'd love to see them! I was hoping to go down there to get a feel of the place between now and the wedding, but who knows between saving and life happening if that will happen.
