  1. Thank you ladies! Arch713- the design took the most amount of time....I probably spent a couple weeks doing this. I would plug all the information in and then go through several drafts till I loved every detail! The actual assembly from print to sealing the envelopes took to two full days. I did them on my own and probably should have asked for extra help but the days I had off to work on it didn't match up with my go-to girls. I was really happy with the result even with the long computer hours and even happier to check this task off my list! Hope this helps! It was all worth it!

  2. I was having the same problem so I caved and went to a stock photo website called: www.123rf.com I set up a free account with them and purchased $20 worth of credits with them to download any images at the best resolution. They have thousands of photos and illustration type images. I really like the website. It seemed to be the most reasonable in price and the easiest to work with! I was hesitant to spend any kind of money on this but it is absolutely worth it! Hope this helps!

  3. I just got an update from my travel agent today that so far we have 15 people booked! We are expecting another 10-15 to jump on board. I have heard grief from a few family members and I was annoyed at first and then realized I can't them add stress to an almost seamless planning experience! If they can come great!......if they can't, that ok we will see you at the AHR! We sent out our invites a couple weeks ago.....here's the link if you want to check them out: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/81883/my-diy-passport-invites-with-rsvp-boarding-pass-lost-of-pics

  4. Jenna, Thanks for the reminder!  Totally forgot to include that little detail! Basically we were doing our tour with Myrna from the Romance office and when we walked to the bridge we noticed a SIGN at the end of the bridge in the sand (about 8 feet from the edge of the bridge) that essentially is just showing that La Perla is in one direction and Esmerelda in the other.  It definitely would show in pics, which we didnt want, so we asked her about it.  She said it's new and it wasn't there the day before, but that they would find some may to make sure it didn't show.  We kind of messed with it to see if it would be removable and I don't think it is, but I guess they'll have to cover it or something, I'm not sure.  It was kind of a bummer, but not the end of the world I guess. Here's a pic: LL Also, see the wood on the bridge, your heels (if you are wearing them) can get stuck in between the boards!  Of course I think most of us will have runner so not the biggest risk or taking a tumble walking down the aisle, but if you walk off the runner you need to be careful!  I got my heel stuck on the way to dinner on another part or the boardwalk and it was NOT fun!  So just be aware of that. Other than that, things are good.  We're going to do our welcome dinner at one of the restaurants (either Mole or Bana we think) and I finally got my dress! :pinkie: Hope everyone's having a fun time planning! -Anisha
Congrats on getting your dress! Thanks for letting us know about the sign, not a deal breaker but something to keep in mind! You've been so helpful, thank you!
  5. Hi Ladies! I'm back - sorry I was MIA for a while since I got back from La Perla. I took a video from my phone of the beach area where they set up the weddings for you guys - PM me  your email if you want it and I'll send your way. Overall thoughts of the resort: Rooms are amazing - really nice, clean, modern and spacious.  We stayed in Royal Service which was a nice little upgrade. Food is really great - we are foodies and we thought overall the food was superb.  We also ate at the paid restaurant Passion - we did the tasting menu and it was really something special - we really enjoyed it. Service - everyone is super friendly and helpful Grounds - could be better.  The property is new so not everything has had all the time to become as lush as i have seen on other properties. It's still pretty, just needs more time to fill out. Beach - to be honest, I thought the beach was pretty lame.  It's very narrow (not a lot of sand between the start of it to the ocean, and there was a lot of seaweed.  The water was very pretty, but the beach was kinda meh.  I laid out there one day for a nap for a couple hours but didn't go into the water.  There is food and drink service on the beach which is good.  Also there are public beaches on both sides of the resort beach area which causes some noise if you're trying to get some R&R.  Pools- really nice overall Not sure what else to share but feel free to ask me questions - I just got back a couple weeks ago so it is fresh on my mind. -A
I'm glad that you had great things to say about the resort! I was wondering about the gabi bridge.....you mentioned that something about it you where going to share later? Did they change something? I'm dying to know I have my ceremony scheduled there! Glad you had a good time and for being such a great help!
  6. I have the additional services document and the ceremony/reception location options! If anyone wants them I am happy to send them over, just PM me your email. We chose to do the chill out chic package to keep things simple. We are expecting close to 30 people and the add on fee for every addition person is $70. We are just adding these costs on to our wedding fund. Hope this info helps....

  7. Alright ladies I have officially finished my invitations!! I sent them out today and couldnâ€t wait to share them with all of you! Every bride on this site is so inspiring and I have learned so much from so many of you! So thank you for all your help because I couldnâ€t have made these invites without you!

For our save the dates I made a luggage tag magnet and to continue the travel theme I decided on passport invitations with a boarding pass for the RSVP. I used the alyeebits template in word and let me tell you I struggled. It took me forever (it felt like) to get everything right and lined up. I worked through it and I am really happy with my result! On to the good stuff……

I used a green linen card stock paper for the cover and twine to bind it.

The paper inside was a crazy find in my area……the Kelly paper store in upland, ca. I purchased a whole ream for $9! Itâ€s a 65lb cream vellum paper, it worked great and my printer liked it too!

The RSVP boarding pass is a linen metallic cream color (the pic doesnâ€t do it justice) Itâ€s a beautiful paper! On the back I printed our address and put a stamp in the corner. I also perforated the end piece so the guest will tear off the “passenger receipt “ and mail the rest in as a postcard!

The sleeve is a piece of scrapbook linen paper  I found at Joanne's that I folded and cut.

I purchased the envelopes at the same upland store they were a champagne opal color. I made the envelope seals at home they were 1 ½ inch in diameter.

The finished result! I made 45 invites and I am soooo happy to cross this off the list!! Thanks for reading! Let me know if you have any questions, I am happy to help!

There are so many brides that have done a wonderful job on passport invites and you have helped me so much! Thank you!!
