  1. I had another idea to save some money on this. I started looking for bridesmaids dresses that come in white or ivory, and I found Billevkoff.com has some in my area for $144. I still have not found lots of flowing layers, though, and haven't found a site that sorts by lowest price and allows returns. Thanks for all the thoughts and ideas!
  2. Thanks for the opinions. I took a look at dressilyme and liked several of them. They are very strict about no returns, though. Does anyone know of another place to search on-line with a search box to enter things like "layers" or "tiers" and then sort by price? I would feel much more comfortable if they allowed returns. I am thinking something that would fan out like flower petals would look good in the water. Thanks again!
  3. I'm debating all sorts of decisions including what type of dress to wear for cenote photos. I googled flowy, layers, tiered. I understand lightweight is better, and fabric like organza does not pick up as much dirt. Could I have some opinions about these? I was hoping the layers would look interesting if I were spinning in a photo. http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_Side-Drape-Gown-with-Beaded-Bodice-SAS1212 http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_Soft-Net-Gown-with-Delicately-Draped-Bodice-VW351003 http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_Sequin-Encrusted-Gown-with-Layered-Tulle-Skirt-231M17720 Thanks for the opinions!
  4. Thanks. I think I might purchase a couple of inexpensive dresses on ebay, then donate them!
  5. I know this sounds like a crazy question, but we are both divers. I am thinking of doing several photos in water, possibly in different locations. I saw a photo of a bride near a house on stilts near Key Biscayne, but can't find the photo now. Anyway, it would be much easier if the dress could survive a washing machine. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing? Thanks!
  6. I was looking at http://www.celebrationswedding.com/offsite.html and saw that they recommend http://www.wildflowersflorist.com/ Looks like they will create a heart in flower petal leaves for $50 to $100. Hope this helps.
  7. You are right, Ocean Manor gets terrible reviews. Sorry I'm so new to this, I don't know of a florist. I drive by this place frequently, but I have no idea how the prices compare. http://www.bashfuldaisyflorist.com/fort-lauderdale-flowers/bright-love-bouquet-372804p.asp?rcid=243&point=1
  8. Is there any chance you could post some details of what you've found in Fort Lauderdale with prices? I'm new to this, though I only want an inexpensive ceremony for two. I live here, though, so I could help with other local Fort Lauderdale info. Thanks.

  10. Is there an update on Fortlauderdalebeachweddings.net? We are considering eloping. There are just two of us to please. We live in Fort Lauderdale so would like to make it very easy and inexpensive? Also, can anyone recommend budget engagement photographers? I am finding $350-$500 per hour. Thanks!
  11. Hi. The great people at tripadvisor suggested I hop over here to ask a few questions. I read several threads about cenote photos. On one of them, someone mentioned $400 for a local photographer, but I can't find the details. I've been scrolling through about a million websites, sending emails, etc, looking for a reasonable price for cenote photos. All I want is photos of the 2 of us, me in a fancy dress. I understand that most photographers are looking for the big jobs, but this is just a cheap-ee job. Prices I am finding range from $1000 to $3000. This seems really steep since we're both divers and take pictures under water all the time. Has anyone already done all this research? Could you point me in right direction? We are willing to stay closer to the photographers home base, or travel off-season to keep the price down. It doesn't have to be the quality of Vogue or Sports Illustrated. Also, what types of dresses work best? Lots of cloth, less cloth? And does anyone know the best waterproof make-up? Thanks so much!
