  1. Our ceremony was at 5:00, and I got my hair and makeup done at 12:30 and then hung out with my bridesmaids while they got theirs done. So, I basically ended up with a half hour to spare before they came to my room at 4:00 to help with my dress. My hair did not fall out, and I was out until 2:00 AM, and it was a slightly windy day. Hope this helps!
  2. We had our reception on the terrace on 2/2/13 (my review is awaiting moderation). We had 53 people at the reception - four rectangular tables. The dancing was definitely tight, but it didn't stop us from having a great time, and I would say almost every one of our guests was dancing at some point. The only real problem is that there is a slight step in the area where we were dancing. Knowing this now, I would still have it in the same spot, or maybe at Castaways, if that's an option. If you don't mind being inside, I thought the Bamboo room was beautiful. I didn't look into any of the other locations because we really wanted to be outside.
  3. Hi Girls, We are leaving on Wednesday for our wedding/honeymoon, and I can't seem to get a response from Pilar with the DJ song list from the resort. Would anyone be able to send it to me at jillian.withee@gmail.com? I have to say, I don't know if I just left things too long or was too laid back, but I sent her about twelve questions a month ago and she never answered any of them. Some questions I've asked multiple times (like to confirm we've booked a DJ and to send me the song list), and she hasn't answered them. I'm pretty disappointed, and I hope this all works itself out when we get there. I am really hoping we aren't in for total sticker shock. Thank you to anyone who can help and for all of the info shared here. I would have gone crazy without this board. Jillian
  4. Hi Girls, My fiancee and I are getting married at NOW Jade on February 2nd, with 51 guests attending. This board has been so helpful to me in answering questions that we have. I was a little too relaxed in the planning process, and now I am starting to stress out with our wedding only a month away and nothing but the locations set. We are having the Pergola ceremony, and Terrace reception. We originally chose the Orange Lounge for the cocktail hour, but then I read that it would be too small for 50 people, so I'm trying to change to the Blue Beach Bar. My primary question is whether any brides have found that Pilar is not willing to swap out anything in the packages. There are quite a few things from the Divine package that we didn't need, and one reason I chose this resort was that so many brides mentioned that they were quite flexible with substitutions. I'm getting worried that we are quickly going to go over budget. Thank you again for all the help and inspiration! Jillian
