  1. I think I have decided to go with a travel agent as well... but I am wondering now, how long in advance should I set everything up. I am getting married on an alaskan cruise in May of 2015 and haven't seen but one listed so far. How far in advance did you ladies book?
  2. Hello all! I am looking for any advice, that anyone can offer on an Alaskan cruise wedding. I just got engaged, and my FI and I have been considering this for over a year, but in that time I haven't been able to find any real people advice!! Help!
  3. I don't see one started yet, but I just got engaged on Thanksgiving. My fiancé and I have been talking Alaskan cruise wedding for some time now, so I have a few earlier posts, but I'm excited to get stared with the real planning. We are thinking June of 2015!!
  4. Due to family issues, and not wanting to pick and choose, I am only inviting immediate family. I gather that there will be some backlash and some of my family members will not be very happy with me. I don't expect/want any gifts from any of my guests or family members, but I do want to do the normal things like taking all the girls to the dress fittings, bachelorette party, and so on. Can I expect people that I haven't invited to my wedding to help celebrate the time leading up to it?
  5. Thanks for posting. That will come in handy later.
  6. Awesome post! I too will put this into a word file so I can customize it to fit out trip!!
  7. I am looking at the reusable grocery tote bags at cheaptotes.com. I know how to screen print and was thinking of printing something on the bags, but I don't necessarily want them to have to carry around our name and marriage dates. Does anyone have any cute/quirky cruise quotes/themes they are using on their oot bag items?
  8. I love the wheel on that favor, I think it would be cool to collaborate the two ideas and make my own frame, and adding the wheel in one corner and a similar phrase in the other!
  9. I am in the very early stages of planning an Alaskan Cruise wedding in Summer of 2014. I have taken many trips before, and have always booked on my own. I am thinking that with so much that is going to be happening on this trip, and such a large group (there will be 19) maybe I should look into one. So I ask, what are the ups and downs to using a travel agent? What does it cost to use a travel agent? Any advice would be helpful!! Thanks
  10. I've been doing some research, because I want to incorporate some alaskan themed food items since all of the other items in the bag will be "us" themed. This is what I've come up with so far: http://www.onceinabluemoose.com/moweb/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=385_371&products_id=6393 I figure that since I only have 16 guests, I can split the largest box up and each guest can have will have 2pcs in the bag. http://alaskawildberryproducts.com/mercantool/mtool.pl?command=productpage_show&product=362&category_ID=31 These are more on the expensive side, so since I'm doing one OOT bag per couple I will put one bag of popcorn in each bag. http://www.woodbowlalaska.com/alaskahunterstickswithreindeermeat.aspx http://www.woodbowlalaska.com/alaskasbestkingsalmonjerky.aspx Each guest will get one of the reindeer 1.13oz rein deer stick and one of the 1.13oz salmon jerky In addition to these, I found some snacks sized bags of pistachios, and snyders pretzels I will add to the bags as well. http://www.dollartree.com/kitchen-tableware/spices-snacks-pretzels-chips-cookies/chips-pretzels-nuts/213c336c339/index.cat?index=0&viewall=1 Hope this helps anyone looking for Alaskan themed snacks!
