  1. My husband and I got married at the Hilton Nui in Bora Bora. It was a trip of a life time and we loved every second of it.
  2. We are getting married at the Hilton Nui Bora Bora and staying there for our honeymoon.
  3. We are visiting Bora Bora next week to get married and enjoy the beautiful location for our honeymoon. We checked with a TA, but when we checked prices on our own there was not a financial benefit to booking with a TA. Might check trip advisor for some info.
  4. There was no discussion with anyone about specifics on why people were or were not invited. We told our families who was invited and that was it. This day is about US. No other day get to be about us. That means we get to be a little selfish. Neither of us wants the trip or day to be stressful or uneasy. Just my personal opinion that you should not feel obligated to invite anyone. The event is not about them. It's your day so share with whom you wish to.
  5. Welcome! I'm kind of new myself. Still can't open templates but I have gotten lots of great ideas from this site for our Bora Bora wedding.
  6. I agree with the above post. We also had a problem very similar to this one. My fiance and I discussed keeping it small and we don't like drama or stress, so anyone that would cause that for either of us would not be invited. BOTTOM LINE! We have stayed with our plan and not blinked an eye because we are more important to each other than anyone we could invite.
  7. I also posted these in the invitation forum. They are DIY, my fiance and I did it all with the exception of printing. So far the response is that everyone loves them. Most people have asked where we found ticket stock...hee hee. Their faces were priceless when we told them that we made it look like that. Here is the monogram we created. We printed it on stickers and put it on the out side of our ticket holder. This is the inside of our ticket holder The front of our invites. Each one is individualized for the invitee under Passenger Receipt and perforated The back of the invite. The stamp in the middle is what a real passport stamp from Tahiti looks like. Thought it was a nice touch since that is where we are getting married.
  8. We are getting a cocunut cup for everyone to use at our AHR. Has anyone had any experience painting them or burning them? We are trying to figure out how to burn our names into one side of the outer shell.
  9. Thank you everyone. And thank you Alison for all of the great info. We planned our trip to make sure we get to do everything that we really want to and included plenty of down time for relaxing and to add anything we want to experience. So far we are going hiking, photo lagoon cruise, scuba diving, spa the morning after the wedding, snorkeling, rays and sharks. We are staying at the Hilton. The best part is that we get our lagoon cruise pics at the end of that trip and we get our wedding pics with in 48 hours.
  10. I'm glad I could help. I've never done anything like this either until now. We mailed our boarding pass invites last Friday and now we have people calling, texting, and emailing asking where we got ticket card stock. LOL, I can almost see the expression on their faces when I tell them we cut them and did it all ourselves. Enjoy the process. Remember to post your final project. I can't wait to see them!
  11. I love your hibiscus flowers. We used them as well. I saved my monogram from power point as a picture and inserted it into the template. Then change the layout to Behind Text and you can move it around. Good luck
  12. This is my dress. I was thinking something to bling it up, but if I found a vintage sash that I loved I would get it.
  13. I need a sash for my wedding dress. Does anyone have any advice on where I can find one that doesn't cost as much as a dress? LOL!
  14. Thanks! i know most boarding pass invites are more than one page, but no one is joining us at our destination wedding so this invite is actually for our AHR.
  15. Thank you so much to everyone on this forum for all the wonderful ideas, help, and advice. These pics are not the best, I kept getting glare, but here are our invites, announcements, ticket holders, and monogram. All of which my fiance and I created. Here is a pic of our supplies: White card stock Blue card stock Scissors Corner rounder perfarator (spelling?) double sided slim tape Here is how our invite turned out: FRONT BACK The bottom is hard to see but it says: Parking at the airport $8/day, Flight to Bora Bora: 150,000 frequent flier miles, Marrying the love of your life in Bora Bora on the beach: PRICELESS! We found a pic of a passport stamp from French Polynesia and and added our wedding date. FRONT OF announcement. The back is the same as the invites. Here is our ticket cover that I made. We printed our monogram on stickers and put them on the outside of our ticket holders. Here is a better look at the monogram that I created.
  16. I made mine. Super comfy. I will wear them to the beach and off they go. We are getting married barefoot.
