  1. While I'm not at all denying that you have good points about the current maid of honor being shitty, I have to step in and defend the bride. She obviously feels bad enough over the situation and we don't need to berate her over the choice she made when she was excited about being engaged, and chose her MOH for a reason. I think we need to be a little more sensitive and less judgemental. Being a destination bride is challenging enough and we should support each other and help each other through the ups and downs.
  2. Thank you for sharing! I'm finding alot of great ideas for my OOT bags on this forum!
  3. I agree with everyone else, I'm OBSESSED with the bags!!! Great find!
  4. These came out fabulous! I'm going to the dollar store ASAP to look for some bags!
  5. Oh my goodness! I would have never even thought of making these myself, but what a great idea! Yet another DIY project to add to my list...lol!
  6. I've been wanting to do a welcome magazine as well! How are you thinking of binding the pages together?
  7. I agree, I don't think it's rude to ask for no gifts, but I would put it on your website, or even a shower invitation, but it might look a little tacky to put it on the actual wedding invite. With that being said, I hate all these silly rules about how things should be worded, what's considered rude or tacky, wedding etiquette is overwhelming and frustrating and times!
  8. I love these ideas! I'm a little bummed. I've always known who I wanted to be my bridesmaids and I got so excited the day I got engaged that I just called them and immediately asked them I plan to do something really sentimental though as a way of thanking them for standing by my side. Not quite sure what yet though....I'm open to ideas!
  9. Oh my goodness....I'm sitting here at my desk at work crying my eyes out listening to this cover....Thank you SO much! I think I'll be using this version.
  10. This was a great idea! I'm going to have my fiance take a look at this!
  11. I ordered my cups from the Dollar Tree online. We picked them up from the local store today, and even though they came in multiple colors, I'm pleased with the quality! Can't beat $1/cup
  12. I love how nice the monogram looks on the towels! It looks very classy. I've seen others where it looks a little cheap, but these are great!
  13. I love this! I think I'm going to pass this along to my sister for a bachelorette party idea. Look at me shamelessly telling my sister how to throw my party, lol!
  14. Oops, misread your post It looks like you got yours from a store, I thought you ordered them on ebay
  15. Hey Jess! Were you happy with the quality? Are they as soft as others you can find in stores?
  16. I never even thought of the honeymoon registry! That would be perfect for us. We already have pretty much everything we need for our house. We too would rather have experiences than "stuff"!
  17. lol you are so right! It's my day and if I wanna do 200 DIY projects I will !! Good luck to you as well!
  18. I'm really glad that I came across this thread. I'm lucky in that people aren't being flat out rude, but instead people just aren't talking about my wedding at all. I went out to visit my Dad's side of the family a couple weeks and ago and NO ONE asked me about the wedding, and it's in 4 months! The same goes for alot of our friends. We get together with them and there is absolutely no mention of the wedding. It's just odd. I have made every effort to let people know that I understand if they cannot come, but I just need to know one way or the other! Hang in there ladies, our weddings will be worth every headache that comes our way!
  19. Kate Spade Shorter but more exotic trip or longer more generic trip?
  20. Forgive me if someone already posted about this, it's hard to trudge through all the pages of each thread! But my fiance came across this, and even though it's quite expensive, we have decided that it was just too perfect to pass up! The website is http://www.unityinglass.com/ . It's a place where you order different colored glass beads, we would pour them into a vase at the ceremony like you would sand. And then you send the beads back in and they melt down the glass to form these beautiful glass creations (figurines, vases, etc). I love that it's something we can keep forever and, god forbid it breaks, we can just send it back in to be melted together again, lol!
  21. I think I'll have my bridesmaids and I walk down to "A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri. A part of me feels like it's a little cliche, but I just love how the song is all about walking towards someone you've been waiting for your entire life. And then we will all dance away from the ceremony to "I Do" by Colbie Caillat.
