Ive read through all 490 pages of this forum the past week... man.. that was a lot of reading. I have some to a conclusion that people seem to be all over the place with timing and dealing with the WC at the resort. How far in advance did you bother making contact with the WC? I'm getting married next March. Should I wait until Dec or Jan ... or later. . or should I start the ball rolling sooner? Is there any point to? I don't want to miss out on anything, but I also don't want to take away from them working with the Brides that are getting married now. It just that it seems that you could be sharing certain things between resorts.. so I wanted to get on the list sooner.. but will I even get a response at this point?!

kfarkas26, No worries. I actually put that to respond to another post but forget to quote it!! Oops. That is for one week (7 nights) Per Person based on Double. That is 1800 taxes in, Air, hotel and transfers. The Grand I was quoted for about $600 more for the week. I did not price up the beach. I actually thought that was a really good price for peak season right around Easter...

I just booked for next March.. our price from Toronto taxes in was about $1800.00

I'm getting married at the Suites on March 28th 2013 (exactly one year from the proposal, and that was by fluke as its was the only date available in the weeks we could go!) I'm now just starting the planning of all the details. I haven't actually talked to the WC onsite yet, but dealt with my TA and have all the documents on there package details and pricing. I have to say, its working out to be a lot more then I thought! I need to grow a money tree Has anyone heard how good .. or bad.. the Salon onsite is for makeup and hair? I have gotten some quotes for outside vendors but the prices seem step (+ I hear I need to pay a vendor fee) so I'm trying to cute cost where I can. However, hair and makeup has to be done well for obvious reason! I read above mentioning that they may have extra decorations for reception area? Is this true? In the docs I have it says they only have basic white linens, 3 color sashes, and fake flowers and that if you want other things to bring it. I have been considering buying all the chair sashes, table runners and decor but I would rather not take things I could rent onsite. Anyways, this whole process thus far has been a little exciting, a little fun, and a lot nerve wrecking!! Cheers, K

Thank-god its not just me!! I just decided to email the resort and see if they have dates available or not.. at least if I find out they dont have dates then I can just move on instead of waiting on my quotes. I totally agree... getting the resort figured out is that hardest most stressful part. I have little patience for stuff like this. I need to know things now!!

Hello All, I'm just starting the wedding planning now for next spring I'm wondering if anyone can chime in and tell me how long it took you to get Quotes on hotels from your Travel Agent? I'm working with a TA here in Toronto and I'm finding I'm waiting forever to get quotes back... and I'm on a time crunch so I'm starting to panic a little. The hotel seems to be booked almost solid from what I can tell by reading these forms for the few weeks I was hoping to travel on next year. I have to wait for my quotes, in order for the TA to even check to see if there is a day free to do the wedding, and days are going by and Ive got nothing! I need to know, as if its booked, I need to start getting quotes on other places... Is this normal? I'm probably just impatient but I just want to secure the resort and date but feel like its taking forever! Did you check with the resort first to see if dates where available or did you have your TA do it? How long did it take you to get your quotes? Thanks! k

Hi, This is my first post!! Yeah me. Anyhoo. I'm in the process of planning my DW and I'm working with a Travel Agency here in Toronto but I'm wondering how long it took you to get your group quotes for hotels in Jamaica? I'm starting to panic as I'm on a time crunch.. I honestly don't think I will get to get married at the resort I want as after reading through all these threads all the dates I want seem to be taken! I'm finding my TA is taking for every to get back to me.. However.. maybe its just the norm and I'm impatient! I just feel that every day that passes it gets less and less likely to happen.
