Hello SuperJdub, I am so happy to hear your wedding was AMAZING!!! It always makes me feel a lot better when I hear that. My wedding is coming up in July and I am so nervous. I am still deciding on the last details and even though it is going to be a smaller group of around 20 I am so scared my guests are going to be bored . Hi Again!! I was wondering how and when did you inform your guests about the catamaran? We wanted to surprise them ao thought it would be neat to leave a thank you note in their room for when they arrive and there tell them as an appreciation we have something special scheduled for them with the details of date and time, but I don't know if the hotel would help us with putting the Thank you cards in room before they check in.

So far we have the Ibiza room. And now I'm having second thoughts about having a gala or at the Chill Out but I do think the Chill Out is a little pricey. Do you think we can take our own sound system to the reception with out an extra cost to avoid the DJ since apparently he is not all that great anyway? About your party at the beach after the reception, did you have a seating area is it lighted? Also where can I contact Paradise Catamaran for more information on the tours? What did you do as far as the photographer? And do you have any pictures you can upload yet?

Hello Frantic Bride, I am glad to hear all in all everything turned out good in your wedding. I am getting married on July 16Th of this year and I am also a little nervous. We chose the Gala menu at one of the private reception rooms as it sounds like you did also, why do you say the chill out is better than the gala? Do they already have a DJ there since you said you would of rather not paid for DJ and done chill out? When I saw the few pictures I did of the chill out it seemed like everything was separated to me and not such a great idea for a venue for the wedding is that not the case?Also how did you do the beach party after the reception do you need to reserve something ahead of time? Did you like the way they did your hair at the spa? And we also are interested in doing a catamaran the night before for our guests, who did you go through and if you don't mind me asking how much did you pay?

Thanks for the reply FranticBride2be. I am having about 30-40 guests still have not yet confirmed everybody. So if I am understanding correctly the private Gala room rental is $200 and in addition I would pay per person based on the menu as well as pay for my wedding package am I correct? Do you have any pictures of the rooms or know where I can find some? How much are they charging you for centerpieces? Daniela.

Hello, I want to start out by saying I am fairly new to this and find it extremely helpful. I am getting married July 16,2012. I had initially booked my wedding at the Now Jade but after reading so many reviews and not fully content with the location of the resort, I just changed it to The Sunset Princess. I have so many questions and was hoping that some of you brides that have been dealing with the resort longer could please help me. The ceremony I have decided will be in the round gazebo. We really want to have a private event for the reception, I am just not sure we understand our options very well. If we go with the Gala does that make the reception private, and if so what are my venue options for the Gala? Also I was told I was able to take my own photographer but had to pay a $200 vendor fee but am I also able to bring in my own florist with a fee? Thanks, Daniela

Hello LadyDoGa, What package are you getting? The D.j. is no longer included an any of the packages as of this year (2012) you will have to pay $250 per hour for d.j. and another $150 for the sound system. The Divine package does include your choice of guitarist, saxophonist or violinist during the ceremony (1 set, 45 minutes). As far as the flowers go all 3 packages include bride's bouquet and groom's boutonniere, but depending on the package you have you have to chose from the flowers they offer for the certain package if you want to upgrade you have to pay the difference. The Eternity also includes a boutonniere for best man and corsage for maid of honor, the Divine includes two additional boutonnieres and two additional corsages. Regarding other flowers again only the Eternity and Divine package include more but it is not a lot more . The Eternity package only includes ONE centerpiece which is mainly on the bride and groom's table. If you want any other flowers such as centerpieces, or even for the ceremony you will need to pay extra. The Divine package as well only has ONE floral arrangement, but in this package the ceremony Gazebo decor- chairs with white covers, ceremonial table and carpeted walkway is included. So in my opinion it is not worth using what the package offers unless of course you do not care about the decor or having more flowers, because they are very expensive if you start adding more through the resort. I decided I am going through an outside vendor the website is www.floresbodacancun.com her name is Saku and she is great with responding promptly. You should really check her website out. Now the Now Jade does charge an outside vendor fee of over $300 but you might want to try talking to Pilar she agreed to waive that for me since I told her I would not use any of the flowers that come with my package. I hope this is helpful I know there is so much info and it really does get quite frustrating especially since Pilar does not always reply as soon as we would like her to. Good Luck!!!

Awesome!!!! Congratulations, let me know any feed back she gives you. Also as much info after the wedding, anything will be helpful. I am a little worried because I have read so many reviews and though there are good ones there are also bad so it makes me a little nervous.

I went with the Eternity package but have been reading how a lot of you other brides are going with different vendors for flowers, and photos, can you please explain to me why and how this works? Will there be a credit for not using the vendors that come with the resort's wedding package? Thanks.

Hello, I am having a wedding at Now Jade in July of this year. I am new to this and have been reading a lot of your comments and have a few questions that like the rest of you Pilar has apparently not yet answered. I was wondering what feed back any of you may be able to give me, I went with the Eternity package and I have been reading how many of you are going through different vendors for flowers, does the resort give me a credit towards something else since the price of the wedding package includes the flowers?
