  1. I got married before her and the rate was 300 dollars. Im curious as to how she was able to get it for 70? Maybe she booked the wedding before the change of rate for outside photographers.
  2. You should try going through a travel agent, they can get much cheaper rates for you.
  3. Yes everything is still available..I will post a pic soon.
  4. I think the beach is nicer..I did mine there and it was gorgeous! The gazebo has a view of beach chairs. It was very windy and I wore my hair down (not the greatest decision...lol). Just wear your hair up with lots of hairspray if you do the beach. Heres some pics...
  5. Koozies are standard black and white. Here is a pic of the cork bottle.
  6. Also sorry I have a matching flower girl dress not bridesmaid dress.
  7. Sure it is this one: Style V9743 Chiffon Soft A-line with beaded lace on empire
  8. Hi Brides To Be! I have some left over stuff from my wedding in Mexico! * I have a beautiful ivory purse (never used it) for $15. * I have 18 Beer Koozies from Oriental Trading (never used- extras) that say "to have and to hold and to keep my drink cold" for $10. * I have multicolored flowers to put on glow necklaces (to make glow in the dark lei's- this was a big hit at my beach party!) for $10. Should be enough for about 50 necklaces. * I have 50 simple coasters with a purple butterfly and flower print for $1. Didnt use because I thought I ordered blue but it was purple. * I have a fancy ivory and gold pen with stand and with shell tied in (but can be removed) for $10. * I have Just Married Flip Flops (never used- I forgot about them in all the craziness!) size 9 for $5. * I have a cork holder metal bottle that we used to hold "our messages of love in a bottle" for guest to give us well wishes instead of a traditional book- $20 * I have a large size bustier to keep the rolls in...lol. Never used, still has tags. $15. Shipping will have to be paid by you unless you live in New York and can pick up. Please let me know if you are interested or you want to see pics! Thanks, Tara
  9. Hello Brides To Be! I have a Brand New David's Bridal Dress (the one on the commercial) perfect for a beach wedding- I just happened to go with another dress. Ivory, strapless, size 16 for sale. I paid 500 plus tax and bought the bag its in as well (will throw this in for free). I am asking 300 dollars neg. plus you pay shipping unless you are in New York and can pick it up. I also have the matching bridesmaid dress in size 10 (used but in great condition) for 50 dollars (it costs 109 in store). Let me know if you are interested! Thanks, Tara
  10. Yes I did, if they fix that, I would have no complaints. It could be just because we had so many people. I honestly did have a great time there and I loved my wedding.
  11. That site is pretty but very small. Lupita says it was for about 30 people max but it seemed smaller than that to me. It is huts facing the beach on a hill. She will show you when you get there if you cant find a pic.
  12. Just came back from my wedding at Sandos. There were many good and bad things about the hotel itself. Check in and check out were horror stories. My one suggestion to all is have your vouchers ready when checking in (even if they forget to ask for them), take your bags with you (dont use the bell hops at all), be aware that the keys are magnetic and will lose their ability to work easily if placed near anything magnetic. We had many guests (including ourselves) have to get new keys over and over and it sucks if its in the middle of the night. If you are in a large group your rooms wont probably be ready until after 3. I wont go into details but some rooms have broken acs and people were given the wrong rooms. When checking out also just hold on to to your bags yourself until you are in a cab. Double check your room bills, as many of my guests had mistakes, including myself (wedding bill is wrong). They also placed me in a double standard room which Lupita quickly fixed and upgraded for us the next day. Thank goodness! We had a beautiful room near the beach/pool. BTW this is the place to be, all the action is here and the other parts are far and quiet. If you are looking for quiet and relaxation, I would say stay in the suites or haciendas. As for the food and the entertainment, these were fabulous. The food and service in restaurants is great except the steakhouse. The beach is beautiful but the current can be very strong. The pool is always happening and they have good entertainment at night. The party can continue in the disco which has so much potential but smells badly and needs to be kept in better condition but they have a good dj and many of my guests enjoyed dancing there each night. BTW the bars close at 12 am, to get drinks after that, you must use the disco or the free beer in your room. I loved the 24 room service. The wedding was on the beach and beautiful (hot and windy too!) at 4:30 PM. I had a turquiose theme and it looked great! Unfortunatley, the speaker system kept stopping the song as I was walking down the aisle and didnt play my song at all to exit. I was very disappointed by this but of course stuff happens so I'm not letting that ruin my wedding. We had a sit down dinner at the Mediterainan rest. which was delicious and the sit down service was excellent as well. The waiters were very attentive and did a great job. Although its not air conditioned, it was fine and we wanted something more formal for our wedding than a buffet. The cake was beautiful and I thought delicious. I ordered chocolate but for some reason it tasted like it had a lot of cinammon in it which was fine for me but some people didnt like it too much. We then had a beach party which was tons of fun. I got flowers from the hotel which were pretty but roses werent opened which I would have preferred and the flowers died right away in the heat. The petals I ordered also came in the wrong color but lupita found ones that matched better. I did not get to keep the large bag to decorate with since I think they dyed a few white ones quickly. They still charged me for this though which I think they shouldnt have. So all in all, there were many bumps in the road, did it ruin my wedding? No but it wasn't what I expected either. I still had a great time and I loved it, I wasn't going to let "the small stuff" affect one of the most important days of my life. All in all, despite the hotel issues, we had a great wedding and a great time there but I would not return. Being with a large group of people who like to have a good time made it fun and I feel like we would have had fun anywhere but I felt terrible there were so many mistakes and management was not quick to do anything about it or even compensate me or my guests in any way except Lupita. Lupita was great and fixed our problems as best as she could. Please make sure to tip her! She works so hard and I saw her there all day everyday from morning to late at night. Lupita certainly made me feel better when I almost lost it...lol. Although I know most reviews are very positive I wanted to be honest and help people be prepared. If you have any questions feel free to PM me. Wedding Hut
