  1. Using a graphic designer to create your layouts and order your album is a great, low cost alternative to using a photographer and is only a little more expensive than doing it yourself. As a graphic designer myself ( www.InspiredAlbumDesigns.com ) specializing in wedding album design, I can tell you that graphic designers order their albums from the same sources photographers do, without the markup...and their designs are just as professional. I would recommend that you review prospective designers' portfolios carefully to be sure their design taste matches yours and be sure to find someone who is patient, flexible, and willing to make your changes and swap-outs at no extra charge. Graphic designers can also photoshop your pictures, if you need that. They will help you choose the right type of album for you and your budget. Hope this helps! Susan Gallagher
  2. Hi! I'm new to this site, but if you haven't already found a designer, I'd be happy to help. I'm a graphic designer specializing in wedding albums. My design fee is $6 per page, with unlimited changes and photoshopping. I order albums (flush mount and premium photobooks) from all the same sources photographers do, but without the mark up, including: Black River Imaging, Zookbinders, Finao, and NationsPhotoLab. My advice to you when choosing a graphic designer is to carefully review their portfolio to be sure their design taste matches yours...and be sure to find someone who is flexible, patient, and willing to make any changes you want to the design. Graphic designers can also help you wade through the overwhelming number of album types and varieties available and help you find the right album for you and your budget. www.InspiredAlbumDesigns.com Susan Gallagher
  3. I'm a graphic designer specializing in wedding album design. Using a graphic designer is a great way to get a very professional product that won't break the bank. I work with a lot of brides who had a destination wedding or simply can't afford their photographer's package, but they're not up for DIY. For the layout design, I charge by the page ($6) with unlimited changes and photoshopping, for example. And I order albums from all the same album sources professional photographers use, including: Zookbinders, Black River Imaging, Finao, and NationsPhotoLab. When choosing a designer, my advice is to take the time to review their portfolio to be sure their design taste matches yours...and be sure to find someone who is flexibe, patient, and willing to make your changes. Also, graphic designers are very familiar with all of the album types and varieties out there. They can educate you on the differences, and they can help you choose the best album for your budget.
