  1. I got my dress from Jessica Bridal which was just north on Macleod from Chinook Mall. The price was great, and I am super happy with my dress. The service was so-so, but my girls namely helped me in and out of the dresses which turned out to be half the fun. I agree that maybe I should have gotten something a little lighter but I had my heart set on fluffy and huge, sooooo... BEST OF LUCK
  2. Hey guys, I just wanted to give people the heads up that I just got a email from Jazmin and she said that she has been having technical difficulties and she didn't get my email I had sent on Apr 8. So if there are any brides who sent stuff in the last 3 weeks or so and haven't had a reply, maybe just send it again Only 17 more days until we leave!!!!! I cannot wait to be in the sun and the sand, and of course, wear my white dress
  3. Hey Everyone! I am officially starting to freak out about the wedding! It is coming up is just over a month! Does anyone know on how the grooms are being wrangled to the ceremony site? Was there transportation or did they have to make their way on their own? Also does anyone know about if the entire groups rooms are all together or spread out? I would like to do my prep for the day of in my mom's room so there is no accidental encounters...is anyone bringing down their own champange to toast with before hand? 30$ per bottle for sparkling wine seems a little steep! Last Question (Well for this post), when are you planning on handing out your gift bags? I am putting a day program in them ahead of time so that everyone know where and when and I can focus on getting married, not helping people! THANKS!
  4. This website is amazing! It has made me sooo reassured, and also super excited for the wedding! I have had a couple emails with the wedding planner, but I still trying to figure out flowers and everything. I didn't know that we coudl have a cocktail hour, which is amazing, and if there is time, that would be a great place for people while we are getting photos done. I am using the resort DJ. Fingers crossed it works out fine! We are traveling Sunday to Sunday. We are also planning on having a group party at cocobongo on the Monday night. I cannot wait! What are your colours? or decorations you want to use? I am thinking lanterns for the pool party.

  6. Andrea! You are getting married the day after me!!!!!! Im at tulum thou! My wedding starts at 3pm and then I have dinner at 5p.m. and then the private dance party at 7 (or 8)!!!
  7. Hey all, I have to say how thankful I am for this blog. It keeps me from stressing out! I haven't been able to decide on a bouquet yet, and I need to email Jazmin back (not that she is waiting on a email from me) it. Does anyone have any suggestions for a yellow flower arrangement? I would love sunflowers but Jazmin said that it wasn't available. Also, is anyone doing programs for their guests to tell them where to be etc? and timing? when are you giving them out? Also what do I do about a rehearsal dinner? I figure there isn't much to rehearse, but still. It would be nice to have the group together pre-wedding. Last question, has anyone received the working for the ceremonially wedding. We are getting legally married here, and I don't want any religion brought into the wedding down there. THANKS
  8. Coco Bongo is AMAZING!!!!! it is a Vegas show and a dance club and just general amazing-ness all together. I am planning on having my bachelorette party there as well!!! Just be aware of time when you go, because my friend and I accidentally missed the bus home and had to take a taxi back at 4am. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT THOU! It is a experience of a lifetime.
  9. Hello All! I am very newly engaged and we have decided to have our wedding at the Tulum resort for May 2012 but I don't know where to go from here!!!! How did you book your wedding packages? Recommendations? I can tell from the past posts not to book through Travel with Us or Flight Centre. But do I book through a travel agent and then the WC contacts us? So confused. I also have some concerns because I want to book our date and then let people know the date so they can book, but the packages on the Gran Bahia website have a minimum amount of people and so I don't know how to pick which package because I have no idea how many people. Also how soon are people sending out their invitations? We are planning to also have a mini reception back home, so I have no idea to word it so that they can choose to go to either Mexico or the reception here or both. Any hints? I appreciate any information or tips anyone has!!!!! Thanks!
