I hired Laura from Premium Florist for all my floral decorations and I have no complaints. The hotel didn't charge me any outside passes for all my outside vendors: Trio Stylist for my makeup and hair; Laura for my decorations. I told Laura my budget and she worked with it and gave me suggestions. I also sent her tons of pictures with my ideas and she provided me with quotes. Her price was reasonable. Feel free to contact her and compare the prices.

The arch was included in the old complimentary package (not the Colin Cowie complimentary package). I like the drape of the arch so I requested it for the wedding ceremony. Trio Stylist is an outside vendor. The company is located very close to the hotel but I asked Wilma to let them into the hotel for my makeup and hair for both occasions (wedding day and TTD). Wilma waived their day passes! The stylists did a great job and they were fun to work with. I highly recommend them! I brought my photographers, Stone Photo, from Vancouver, BC.

The price was reasonable and the flowers were great! They came in fresh and on time. I would recommend them. Makeup/Hair: I booked Trio Stylist and they were great! I would highly recommend them. Adrian, not only helped with my makeup, he also recommended a great taxi driver for our trash the dress session. I had a great time with them. If you stay at this hotel, you MUST MUST MUST go to the park next to the hotel for photo session! The park is only located 3 minutes walking distance from the hotel. Sharing with you with more information on resort credits: Chichen Itza: Monday and Friday from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm Swim with Dolphins: Every day at 3:30 pm is about 40 min activity, and the park is located around 20 min, from the resort. Transportation is not included. Tulum: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm If you would like to apply the resort credit promotion the reservations must be booked upon your arrival.

You look very pretty in the pictures and since I've never been to the hotel, I hope you don't mind me using them as a reference! I also booked Styling Trio for my wedding and TTD makeup and hair. I received the following information from Wilma and would like to share with you: Due to new projects that Playacar is having, the North Solarium is under construction (for new suites), I think they will finish in 2 months and at that time I will know if we can still use this venue for private events or we will have another option, as soon as I know about this, I will let you know. My wedding will be in December so I should have plenty of time to change my reception to other location even though I prefer to have it at North Solarium.

Good to know about the sound system. We'll give it a try and see if it works well. No matter what, we are planning to bring and play our own music because we don't need a dance floor. Makeup: Adrian's salon (Styling Trio) is only 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel. That way I get to save on the day pass for 2-3 people. I can also use the trial run hair and makeup on the TTD session. I trust they will do a good job even without the trial run. Floral Vendor: Maybe I'll ask Laura to drop off the stuff at the hotel and I'll ask my friends to pick them up for the reception decoration. (Wilma) Yes you can do this; please just let your friends know that they will need to be available at the time the florist gets to the hotel to get all the stuff. New Tax: The 11% tax is only on the resort credits and you need to pay in cash or credit card for the tax at the end of your stay after using the credits. To RMBride2B:My fiance is a local dj and I was told you can't plug the wireless mic to the bose speaker... something to do with input and output. But anyway, I just realized I need to pay for 2 people's pass for the outside vendors as he's bringing an assistant. Even with the discount of $130 just for the ceremony, it'll end up $312! In that case, I'll have to rethink if I should just have the hotel's sound system for $300. Are you getting the mariachi band from the hotel? Here's what I got from Wilma regarding the drape: Q: What is the measurement of the huppa? I may also try to get the fabric myself if it's cheaper to do so. Do you also rent out the other huppas from other Colin Collections? I'm trying to check which option is the most cost effective. A: The price to rent the (old) structure is 400usd and the price to rent the fabric is 80usd, in case you bring your fabric we will be in charge to set up this on the huppah and we just need to consider an extra charge of 100usd as decoration set up fee. What I can figure out is that we can fit the white fabric in the new complementary structure of Colin Cowie, we are waiting for all of this stuff so as soon as I get it, I can see and I can let you know if you need the other huppah or with the one you have now is enough. What do you think? In other words, she will confirm with me if I can just rent the white drape from the old package at USD 80 and keep the new huppa structure.
