Hi Ladies, I am getting married at the Melia June 16th, 2012. My coordinator is Esterlin, and she had been quite responsive until recently, when I need her the most! Is anyone else getting married this year? Any pictures of your locations or advice on planning at this resort? I am having 50 guests and really do want everyone to have a great expereince! let me know and thanks!

HI Krysta, I decided not to go with their on site photographers, but they do charge $1000 fee for outside photographers to take pictures on their resort grounds. We hired Huellas Del Caribe, and their website looks beautiful and Arnaud gets back to you right away! Hope that helps!

HI Ladies, Thanks so much for posting this site! My name is Julie and I am pretty new to this site. I am getting married at the Melia Caribe Resort of June 16th. Are any of you getting married at that resort? We should have between 40 and 50 guests total. I am wondering if you have any good ideas for what to include in the OOT bags? I have flip flops for the reception and paddle fans for the ceremony. Any suggestions are welcome and congratulations to all of you!!

HI Cynthia M - I know Trivera5522 was headed to the DR to do a scout - did you come back with any good photos or info? How did the trip go? Really excited to hear/see anything you found helpful! I am getting married this year in June. From what I understand from my coordinator, April is the time where I will be choosing my decorations etc and Ill be happy to pass along anything I find out, and of course wedding photos if anyone is interested!

Thanks so much! I hope you have a fantastic trip. The photographers I booked are Huellas Del Caribe - HDC Photo. They have realy great reviews and a beautiful website, but yes, we are paying the $1000 fee. The good news is they are giving us extra hours of photography to make up for this charge the Melia has instituted! I can't wait to see your pictures! We are getting married there in 4 months! Thank you so much for the links and the response! As to outside photographers, we decided to pay the 1000 fee for Huellas Del Caribe. We loved their website and they are giving us extra services to make up for the additional cost. Hope that helps!

My fiance and I made a deposit with this outside photographer, Huellas del Caribe, and we have been dealing with Arnaud who is always quick to respond - we really loved their website and they have great reviews, but yes, there is a 1000 additional charge. To help with this extra cost, this photographer is giving us extra hours of photography! Hope this helps!

HI ladies, I am new to the site and am getting married at the Melia Caribe Tropical June 16th 2012. Garden Gazebo ceremony and Amphitheater reception. Anyone else out there getting married this year there? Would love to connect and compare notes as we move forward toward our big day! Cant wait!
