  1. Your pictures are amazing!! I love love love the sunset picture. Just a question, were your BMs fans of Ravon dresses? I was considering convertible dresses too bc they seem quite trendy nowadays and its also a nice little dress that they can wear after the wedding. There are a few brands out there but one of my girlfriend who just got married, complained that the Ravon dresses were a bit stiff and not that flattering for pictures. I got my dresses at Henkaa in Toronto for my wedding and we booked an appt at their store, their stylists were super helpful. I was worried that I would have the same issue but the staff encouraged us to take pictures and have fun while trying different colours. Plus the pictures turned out great, I bought one on my own to test out the dress in different lighting and it is so perfect. I saw the Henkaa photos on their website (www.henkaa.com) and saw that they have worked well with other destination weddings, as mine will be coming up in late May. If any of you ladies are looking for convertible dress options for your BMs, I highly recommend Henkaa!!
  2. way to rock the dress @krsmith! I was a bridesmaid in a wedding this spring and we wore the dark purple long Henkaa dresses - they looked and felt so good! There were two junior bridesmaids as well and they wore short versions. I'm quite sure i'm getting these convertible dresses for my destination next year (still deciding between Hawaii and Jamaica!). Here's a picture... To the girls thinking of Etsy retailers - a word of warning - I had another friend order her bridesmaids dresses from an Etsy seller because it cost less, but when she compared her dresses with my Henkaa one, the material seemed like bathing suit material or something so it was much stiffer. They were bulky and didn't flow as nicely and also weren't sewn very well. My friend and her bridesmaids didn't end up liking them but the seller wouldn't accept returns! She ended up eating her losses and got completely different dresses from BCBG. Anyway, I'm definitely doing the short version since it's on a destination wedding... but what do you ladies think will look better for the beach: the teal or the coral??? http://www.henkaa.com/convertible-dresses/sakura I can't decide!! My FI likes the teal because he says it's more "manly" but I'm afraid it will blend in too much with the water...
  3. Oh my goodness... I'm just getting started with the wedding planning and nevermind OOT bags, I'm getting hooked just reading about all the deals you ladies are finding. You're awesome!! I love deals!!! I can already feel that I totally won't be able to stop or help myself. LOL.
  4. hey ladies - I was in a wedding earlier this year and we used the Henkaa convertible bridesmaid dresses - they were really nice and it was cool to be able to change them around -throughout the day and have something I can actually wear again! Oh but one tip - make sure you have body tape on hand to help keep things in place!!! We wore the long purple ones for her wedding and I'm probably having my bridesmaids wear them too, but in the short version since it'll be a destination wedding. Let me know if you want to see a picture and I'll get one I can post.
  5. OMG - your wedding was beautiful susan! congrats to you and thanks for sharing your vendors!! if you dont' mind me asking, what was your budget range for everything? i'm just starting with the planning so i want to get a better handle on the numbers i should be looking at. there will probably be a few more people, but your wedding was perfect! =)
