I got married on the 20th October 2011 at Excellence, Riviera Maya, Cancun. Derek & Lorena were just wonderful! I felt completely at ease and relaxed. The photos were MORE than expected. The quality and professionalism was just awesome! Derek also made a slideshow for me to show all my family as we didnt take any family with us. I would like the ceremony on the beach.....there is only me and my fiance going... .....so we wont be having a reception but I was thinking to book the private dinner for 2 on the beach.. which is $250 extra. Or Nayeli said she will book us a table in one of the restaurants. Kinda weird having noone with us. But our parents wont fly and I live in the UK so its a 10 hour flight! LOL! Ohh I am entrigued about the sand ceremony..... never heard of it... will have to look that up! Sooooo excited! I bet you are too!!!

Nayeli also told me that some outside vendors are banned.... but Derek Campbell - who I have booked has been there previously and has another wedding booked later on in the year... so she didn’t say anything about him not being allowed in... she just said its $150 per person to come in! Very expensive.... but worth it I think.... Mandijacole: I think I may be there at the same time as you? I arrive on 16th October - married on 20th October.. and leave on 31st Oct..... Do you know if the ceremony is in English? Are you also saying your own vows? Good luck ladies!

Hello ladies! I have just booked my wedding for 20th October 2011! I like to do things at the last minute! LOL! There is only myself and my fiancé going! Very romantic! I have opted to get an outside photographer in... as 24 pics for the resort photographer seems AWFUL! I have booked Derek Campbell! The resort is charging us $150 dollars per person to bring the photographers in! But I think its worth it! I will be getting tons more photos - and by reading other peoples reviews - much better quality! He is also doing the video for pretty cheap for me also! Questions I have are: Do they do the ceremony in English? Exchange the rings etc? Has anyone also said their own vows? As we are on our own we are thinking about having a private dinner on the beach afterward.. anyone done this? Apparently its an extra $250 per couple….. Also…. How are the blood tests? I bruise like a peach and don’t fancy a huge black bruise on my arm? I am soooo excited! Big hugs ladies! XXX

Hey ladies! I am just booking to get married there in October 2011! I dont like to hang around - we decided this about 3 weeks ago! So its panic planning.. or not??!?! We get the free standard wedding package with our booking and as its only me and my fiance going so its not (hopefully) going to be so stressful! I do think the photography package is expensive and poor - only 24 photos! So after surfing this forum I contacted Derek Campbell for a quote. So far he seems the best and cheapest! I havent been in touch with the hotel about bringing them in? Anyone know how my much they charge to bring them in? Also bit confused about the ceremony..... is it all in Spanish? Are you allowed to say your own vows also? Also I would like to have a private meal on the beach after ..... since we arent having a reception..... anyone know if this costs extra? Appreciate any help ladies! Claire X
