And their dinner menu has changed from what I had picked as well. I am so frustrated because I waited 3 wks to hear from Claribel and now I read a few posts ago that she is no longer even there. Ugh. CONGRATULATIONS Katusha!!!!!!!! So glad to hear that everything turned out for you Katusha~! The questions and answers were great. I love your tables!! They look great! You did such a good job on them! I have some questions too LOL Did you have Castaways all to yourselves? For your table runners what was the length of the material you used? What did you use in your vases to light them up that way? Was Catasways cool? Is it at all sheltered? I am trying to decide if we are going to have our reception here...Do you have photos of an overall view of this area? Did they have the dacing area set up on the terrace? What did you use for your OOT bags themselves? I need to start booking things and getting organized! LOL... i have been a bit of a procrastinator lately! Did you do a Trash the Dress shoot? If so did you "trash" your own dress or have a second one for that?

Sarah, It looks like you had a great trip! thank you for posting all the pictures... its nice to see the resort through the eyes of a guest and not through the lens of a professional photographer and a picture that has been edited. Very glad to hear that the staff was friendly. I think excellent service goes a long way! Interesting that the food for the candle lit dinner was great but for the most part the rest of the food was not up to par... but that they have the ability to be do better when they want to, like for a wedding dinner... Did you get any pictures of what Castaways looks like on the inside? When you say that the disco is outside and a roof top is the roof top a part of the Disco or that the outside Disco space has a roof top? LOL Do you know if you have your reception there if it would be private or if it would be shared with every other guest? Did you get any pictures of this? For the ceremony part I wonder if they pushed everything further back, closer to the water, if this would prevent people from being right behind you and wandering through your ceremony area... I can't say that I would want strangers in little banana hammocks to be wandering in the backgrounds of my photos lol. I am going to ask Claribel exactly what they do to enforce your private beach sanction if anything. Hopefully with your complaint to AM Resorts about the food that by the time we all get married there everything will be up to speed and will be phenomenal~!

Oh I am sooooo excited! I can finally post again! Woo Hooo~! Sarah - I am extremely curious to see what a wedding set up at Castaways looks like on the inside; not just the outside... I have seen a picture of the area they set up for dancing and when they have a reception actually on the beach outside of Castaways but not one under their roof... I would be curious to know if they bring in tables larger than the size they have that only fit 4. How exciting that you get to go to the Resort!!

I got the same thing, it didnt work when I tried to click on the link. jbmarch - How long does it take for you to make the invitations if someone would like a hundred or so of them done? I was showing my fiance them this morning and he really liked them; which somewhat surprised me as he was wanting/looking for a more Rock n Roll theme previously. Our colors for our wedding are Black, Gun Metal Gray and a very dark Purple. If we went with this would we be able to incorporate the colors from our wedding?

Hi Sarah, We havent quite figured that part of our trip out yet, LOL. The week after the wedding we are going over into Santo Domingo, will make it easy to get to Haiti and Puerto Plata. I plan on doing a ridiculous amount of sight seeing this week and going into Jacoba to see the mountains and everything. For the 3rd week we are heading over into Samana. They have an amazing waterfull just outside of Samana in Los Terranas and I would like to do the whale watching and stuff during the 3rd week. Now we just have to pick our hotels and finalize that with the TA. If anyone has suggestions for hotels I would appreciate them

My wedding date is February 29, 2012. We arrive on the 24th and my sister would be there until the 2nd of March. We are staying an additional 2 wks while we are there and going all over the Island. Should be awesome!

Well Hello Ladies! It looks as though you can add another date to your list of Now Larimar wedding dates; my Fiance and I are getting married on February 29, 2012. I know, a leap year, I just keep telling my Fiance that after 12 years of marriage it will only actually be 3 yrs I am glad that I have stumbled across this thread when I was googling some information on the Resort, some of this information posted on here has been super helpful!
