  1. We use a ompany called Edventure. It is owned by an American couple and they are awesome. It was around $100 pp and that was with add-ons. This what it included and it was a blast: Start off at the Mayan Ruins in Tulum. If you want to drink, while you are in the ruins they driver will go get you group beer, soda, etc. and put it in a cooler for you. From there you cliff dive into a cenote, and then snorkel in the cenote. You also go across 2 different ziplines across a lake. Then you stop by a small mayan village to see how they live. You then leave and go to Akumal where you get to go swim with the sea turtles in the sea. It is awesome!!! After that you eat at La Buena Vida (recommend the fish tacos). Finally you go to a private lagoon and snorkel with all sorts of tropical fish. Then they take you back to the resort. I am using these guys for our excursion for my guests. They have a website. I never can remember it but just google, edventures in Mexico. I have pics that I can send you or feel free to ask me any questions. Hope that helps!
  2. I emailed her two weeks ago too. I sent her another email Tuesday just to make sure she got the original one and I still haven't heard from her. I have also gotten responses from Myrna when Rocio has been out but I haven't even heard from her.
  3. Hi- My understanding is that the $4 per sash is if you want them at the reception otherwise it is like Manda stated for the ceremony. Hope that helps!
  4. I am going to PM you and send you pics. They want to hold them for moderation if I put them here.
  5. I am going to try again. They say they are checking my post and then never post it so hopefully this time it will work.... I have three pics of cakes Rocio sent me and one of the Las Rocas- the saltwater pool where you can have a cocktail reception.
  6. Here are some pics of the cakes Rocio sent me. I also included a pic of the cocktail reception at Las Rocas- the saltwater pool. I have been there and it is beautiful!!!!
  7. Hey there! I hope this one will post. Sometimes it says the moderators have to first review my posts and they never get posted. So I am trying again. I did hear back from reservations. You have to send them your dates that you will be there and your confirmed wedding dates and then they will send you a proposal. Honestly, it seems like alot of extra work to do so we decided to use our travel agent because we get a discount and so do our guests. Hope that helps.
  8. StephyD, Thank you so much for your advice and information. We wanted to have a "Welcome to Mexico" cocktail reception at the salt water pool with a mariachi band but that may not be the best option. Definitely going to explore other areas of the resort. And I am pretty sure I am just going to go with my TA that I have used the last two times we went to Mexico. I think it's a peace of mind thing for me. Plus she will handle all of the bookings and everyone will get discounts.
  9. Thanks! I didn't think it would take long. But my travel agent needs the confirmation in order to do my guests bookings.
  10. Quick question.... How long after you send in your deposit does it take for them to process it. Just curious. Thanks girls!!!!!!
  11. Here is the information from the Palladium Addict website. I have not heard from reservations yet. I also found the information at the Fiesta Hotel Group website too. When I find out anything more I will let you know! Palladium Hotels & Resorts invites brides and grooms to stay for free! The Caribbean, Mexico, Brazil, Ibiza…A picture-perfect wedding in any of our 5-Star All-Inclusive Palladium or The Royal Suites Resorts now offers the added bonus of a free room* for the bride and groom. With this special offer, the phrase “the more the merrier “certainly holds true. With a minimum of 10 rooms, the happy couple can stay for free during the same number of nights booked for the rest of the party. *Standard double room. Upgrade available with additional charges. Not valid during high season. Subject to availability. Offer available in any of the Palladium and The Royal Suites Resorts in Brazil, Dominican Republic, Ibiza, Jamaica and Mexico. At least 10 rooms must be booked by wedding guests; nights the bride and groom may enjoy free depend on the nights that the other 10 rooms coincide.
  12. Thanks for the information! I emailed Rocio today to get the answers. I agree that this thread has been great! Have you checked out the Palladium Addict website? I became a member on their site before my first trip to the Palladium in 2008. TONS of info. on there too. I found on their website that the bride and groom can stay for free if they book 10 or more rooms. I emailed the reservation department to get more information on the offer.
  13. I am getting married July 13, 2012 at the GPRM! Cannot wait!!! I have a few questions that I can't seem to find the answer to. Of course there are ALOT of posts to go through so I may have missed the answer. We are interested in doing a cocktail reception. Do you ladies know if the salt water pool area is the only place? Also can we have music(i.e. mariachi band) at the cocktail reception? Are there specific times you can hold the reception? And finally is it a private cocktail reception? Thanks ladies!!! Save the Dates are going out next month! Let the fun begin!!!!!!!!!!
