Thank you for the advise. I did a little research and ended up booking Suzanne Morel and her team for my wedding day. She will do my hair and make up as well as my bridesmaids....its nice because all the details are coming along nicely.

Is Suzanne Morel from the Riu hotel or from a salon in Cabo? Is she doing your hair/makeup and your bridesmaids? Also, did you call the hotel to get your group discounts? We are paying for a certain number of people mainly the bridal party and close family....we booked their rooms they are just paying for their flights. Did you call the hotel to get the group discount?

Yes we are having our gazebo location symbolic service and then having the reception at the Mexican restaurant on the terrace location. The pictures that ive seen look great for the terrace location with the backdrop being the water and rock formations! Our rehearsal dinner will be at the steakhouse restaurant the night before. What about you guys? I do know that having a legal wedding (meaning going through the civil process) does require more documentation and steps to take to be able to get married there. A symbolic one you just have to get your marriage license in the states a few weeks before going down to Cabo.

Meaning are you just having a symbolic ceremony or a civil one?

I have not heard that information about the birth certificates...we are getting our marriage license here in Chicago and then having a symbolic ceremony in Cabo at the Riu Palace also in the gazebo location. But i might of overlooked that detail....are you also doing the same through the civil process all there in Mexico?

Hello there. I received the wedding checklist from the wedding planner. As soon as i started emailing with her in the first week she sent me the checklist. I did not need to request it.....that is their procedure.

Hello there....the planning is going good so far. We just booked the rehearsal dinner and also the reception dinner. I have a wedding checklist that i have to fill out in the next couple of weeks and send to the wedding planner such as the details ( flowers, cake, music, if i want a band....etc).

Hello my name is Beatrice Bocean and I will be getting married at the Riu Palace in October of this year. I am very excited...just started working with my wedding planner and already there are so many decisions that need to be made: location of ceremony, reception dinner, along with lots of other things like photographer, where to get my hair and makeup done..etc.... This is such an exciting time and i have heard nothing but good things about Riu. I hope of get more insight and advice from couples that have already been through the whole destination wedding experience.
