  1. Hi ladies, I jsut got some of my photo's back from my photogra[her. Its http://www.sweetcaribbeanphoto.com/ - his link is on the right as well. I found them on here. All I can say is AMAZING!!!! Great photographer and great pricing
  2. Hi ladies I did not have a private reception - I did the basic spoon restaurant package which is included and the food was GREAT. We got to chose our menu. I did see a few private receptions by the pool which was cute but to be honest it's a lot of money for a private event and your guests may head in early because it's a long day. I did have a private cocktail hour on the beach for my guests. It was $150 for 20 of us and the food was fantastic. Just got basic appetizers but they were filling. It also included our our private bartender for 2 hours. Worth the money. We brought an iPod and our own mini speakers for music As for the wedding music I brought my iPod and they played the music for me. You will need 4 songs, the procession for you and for groom, for the signing of the documents plus sand ceremony and for the end. I gave the wedding planners my iPod the day of. For anyone wanting a down hairdo I would suggest against it. I wanted a down do but it was way to wind for it and even the spa suggested I do an up do. For gift bags we did a welcome letter, a bag in our colors, SPF lip balm, a wedding passport book, personalized plastic mugs for drinks, fans, water, gum, disposable waterproof cameras and SPF sunblock. The big hit was the cameras and sunblock. All our guests forgot sunblock and ALL of the eventually needed it. Premium room amenities was our own swim up pool and hot tub on the patio, aromatherapy every night, personal concierge which came in handy, aromatherapy bath products picked by us, premium guest cocktail hour and immediate service. If you can splurge I would splurge on the premium swim up jacuzzi suite. SO SO SO worth it.
  3. Hi ladies here is my review from trip advisor Something I want to add for brides is that it is VERY windy on the beach. Get your veil nice and tight in your hair. Also, I wanted a half up half down hairdo and i had to change to all up due to the high wind. If you ladies have the choice to upgrade to the premium rooms DO IT _ so worth the money. the ammenities and the pool we got were far better than the regular rooms First let me start by saying I was very worried about going to Azul Sensatori because of all the posts I read from angry people. Once I got there I realized those people were either overly picky, foreign or just not happy people. This place was AMAZING!!! Everything from the staff to the wedding coordinators to the kids room staff was perfect. I can't wait to visit again. Wedding: The staff for the wedding made things so nice and simple. They took care of every detail for me and made me feel like a princess. I had no worries the day of the wedding because of how great the staff was. They went above and beyond to make my wedding a special, perfect day. The decor was beautiful and the beach was great. The hotel even has a guy scooping up seaweed from behind the gazebo and raking the sand in from of the gazebo so things looked perfect. Kids: Our group had kids ranging from 18months to 13 years old and there was plenty of kids activities for all age groups. The azulitos kids club was great for the 18 month old and the 4 year old. They loved playing in the play place. The water activiteis in the pool were fun for all age groups expecially the older kids. The staff at the azulitos club delievered toys to our room to keep our son busy at night and the babysitter we used one night was TERRIFIC. Food: Food was pretty good. Some resturant were better than others. I'm a picky eater and there wasn't a things I didn't like. Zocalo and Sienna were by far the best resturants and Spoon had great buffet options. Drinks were fantastic and were always made perfect. The bartenders at the adults only pool were AMAZING =) Pool: The pool was a little cold but once you jumped in you warmed right up. There were so many different pools for everyone to be at that we never had a problem getting a beach chair. We had the option of using premium pool section because we were in a premium room but due to some snotty foreign guest we chose the other more populated pools. The beach was a little seaweed covered bu the Gulf was so warm. If you walk down about 10 minutes you will hit the Azul Beach Hotel and the beach area there was perfect for swimming. I even went into the Gulf in my wedding dress!!! The staff at Snesatori do try hard to clear the beach of seaweed but it's just too much for them to always have it cleared People: We were probably one of the groups of "Americans" that people complained about but we had a BLAST!!! We noticed some of the people were a bit picky and snotty and did not enjoy our group having fun but if they wanted a romantic peaceful place they should have picked a secluded resort. Spa: Spa was a great experience. They did a wonderful job on my hair and makeup for the wedding as well as the hair, makeup and nails for my girls. The couples massage and the diamond massage were UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING - worth the money/ Money Tips: We tipped for the people who did great jobs (cleaning ladies, bar tenders, wait staff, etc.) Bring $1's and $5's because the desk never has change Pros: Great food, Fantastic staff, Amazing spa, unending pools Cons: No salsa (It's mexico - we craved fresh salsa) and gift shop/front desk never had change for us. we needed $5 or $1 bills to tip and we couldn't tip as much as we wanted since the desk never had change for us. We only brought $20's
  4. Hi Melfaybik I ordered the vase bouquest through Lomas. If you go to their wedding webite go to Bouquet then go to Decor and Setup. The item is HC08 and they were $60 a piece. I ordered 2 As for the chair covers and sashes those were through Lomas and they were $9 per chair for the sash and cover The white sheers were included in the package I got but the 1 pink sheer was $150 and that was through Lomas As for people wanting to do snokeling or catamaran. I would advise to do the catamaran. We did a snorkling trip through Lomas and when we got out to the water is was SO CHOPPY that half the group either couldn't do it or swam back because it was too bad. We spent most the time tanning and drinking on the catamaran. I was bummed because I wanted to snorkle =( Also, anyone wanting to bring back their BOUQUET to the USA - I brought mine back and customs didn't take it away from me. We took it on our carry on. I immediatly froze it when I got home to preserve it till I can decide what to do with it.
  5. Hi ladies, i just got back from my amazing wedding at Azul Sensatori and you guys are in GREAT hands. I was nervous on how things would turn out but the staff was amazing and the decor was STUNNING. if you all have any questions let me know but I can assure you that they will take care of you. We had a private cocktail hour the day before the wedding and we had kids traveling with us. I also am attaching some pictures of my bouquet from there as well as my bridesmaids bouquet and the gazebo setup
  6. I asked my wedding coordinator if I can bring my own sand for the sand ceremony and she said yes and they won't charge if I bring my own
  7. Hi All, I''m new to the blog and all the things you girls are posting is very helpful. I just have a few questions i'm hoping someone can help with. #1: I purchased the sand ceremony but can I bring my own sand. If I bring the sand do I still have to pay the $40 for the sand ceremony #2 Is the cocktail party the day before the wedding worth it? #3 Did anyone have their wedding certificates translated and legalized for the us? If so how long did it take #4 For brides already married there - how safe was the area (I have a brother who is freaking cause he is worried) #5 Any brodes getting married March 2011? I'm getting married March 19 For the person who said they went through destinationweddings.com - I too went through them and they are HORRIBLE - I did most the travel details myslef (I even had to call and complain once). My coordinator is totally clueless and unorganized!!!
