thank you all for your kind welcome to the site Nisha, I am from Vancouver, BC. Congrats to you as well! I know exactly what you mean about the private function thing. I thought destination would be the way to go in order to save some money, but it seems to be getting more costly as I do more research. I am leaning towards Mexico. There a couple of resorts that i started to look into, but I think I need to do more research. I will definately keep you updated with my findings. I am so excited that i found another indian bride, whos getting married around the same time! We can totally help eachother out! I think should have more information by the weekend. Hi everyone, Me and my fiance got engaged in August and have come to the conclusion that we will have our dream Indian (Sikh) destination wedding! We were thinking somewhere in Mexico, but are still open to other places. We are aiming for Feb 2012. We are antipating ~100-150 guests. If anyone has any tips, suggestions, or better yet is planning or had an Indian destination wedding, please let me know. I am excited but still quite nervous, as this is the first forum i have ever joined. Thanks
