  1. Good Evening, I was wondering if any of you past brides could help me out on the marriage paperwork: I am confused as to the requirements of this paperwork. Do I need to have the original birth certificates AND then have them both translated and notarized into Spanish? Also, do I need the Declaration of Single Status translated for my fiance and I as one copy OR do we EACH need a copy of that as well translated into Spanish? For some reason I am confused by the way things are worded on the document of wedding requirements. I am also very unhappy to hear about the photographers...I am due to get married April 1, 2011 and had another photographer booked already that I have put a deposit on. I have emailed Yessica to try and find out more details on this. I would appreciate any help! Thanks!
  2. In reference to bringing the IPOD's to hook up....did they also have a power cord to ensure that it didn't run out of battery life before the end night? If not, did any of you have to purchase a special power cord for DR's outlets or are they the same??
  3. That's what I would guess, just by how fast they have been emailing and their honestly throughout the whole thing. I appreciate all of your explanation too! I am getting super excited, are you all carrying your dress on the plane in a garment bag? A friend of mine recommended I do this and also put my shoes, jewelry and accessories inside the bag so that I know it won't get damaged or ruined. I thought it was a good idea.

Thank you all for sharing your pics and thoughts on the photographer...my destination wedding specialist has some concerns about using outside vendors other than the photographer at Dreams to do my wedding...did you guys have any trouble other than having to pay the guest pass for each person to come onto the resort?
  5. Your pictures look great! I will look into him. What time did you have your wedding and photo session? I noticed the sun setting in some of them...I am getting married at 6 PM and am wondering if I should have the photo session before or after my ceremony. I looked online and it looks like the sun doesn't go down until 7 but wanted to see what you thought.
  6. Good Morning Brides! I am getting married on April 1, 2011 (less than 3 months away) and I have just found this forum and I am so excited! It has already answered so many of my questions and I look forward to learning a lot more in the next couple of months. I had a few questions if any of you can answer them that would be great! 1.) Has anyone had their make-up done in the salon? If so, how did it turn out?? 2.) Did they print menus for your guests or is that something we need to bring with us? 3.) Has anyone requested cupcakes instead of the traditional wedding cake and if so how much extra were they? 4.) Has anyone ever used a photography company by the name of HDC? If so, do you have any photos I can view? I have been in contact with the owner/manager and he seems pretty good, but it would be great to see what he has shot at Dreams. Any help you guys can give me would be greatly appreciated! I am getting super excited but also a bit anxious :0) Thanks!
