  1. I miss the sunny warm weather that is for sure! Here is a review I did on our 2 week trip to Azul to get married April 28. http://www.tripadvisor.ca/ShowUserReviews-g240327-d1176806-r106699443-Azul_Sensatori_Hotel_by_Karisma-Puerto_Morelos_Yucatan_Peninsula.html
  2. I did a post awhile back letting folks know the order of the legal ceremony. Check the old post and if you can't find email me. :-)
  3. We just got back and wished they had shared the process with us. We had a legal ceremony with a JP. they had the grooms back to the whole ceremony which means he missed the Flower girl, the ring bearer, the maid of honour, and me walking down the isle. Had we known we wouldn't have followed their tradition The JP says his first bit Then the B and G sign the form and then the 4 witnesses Then the sand ceremony Then the ring exchange The order seemed odd to us and created a bit of confusion. Posted more info on Trip advisor and that post should be up in a few days once they approve! Not the grooms outfit is a waiter uniform because the lost his grooms outfit. Ahhhh memories!
  4. I also finally got transferred to Elizabeth (Lizzie) Riff and all the problems went away. She was always prompt and super helpful. Thanks Lizzie!
  5. Yes thanks, the beach. :-) We are just trying to figure out if one hour between the wedding and reception will be enough time? We have the photographer for one hour and wondering if we should extend it. Any brides out there that have already got married? Our current time is 6 pm Wedding 7 pm Reception Should we move to 5 pm Wedding and 7 pm Reception?
  6. Hi ladies, hoping past brides can help us? We have the gold package and currently have the wedding at 6 and the reception at 7. Didn't want folks standing around. In the package is 1 hour photographer service. Do you think that is enough time? We are pondering having the wedding at 5 and pay to have the photographer for another hour. Thoughts?
  7. Here is something similar but a different take. We put photo's of our guests and a page for them to sign. Wish I thought of putting the words to our first dance though! We are doing that a bit different as we were told of this unique 1st dance at a wedding. We printed off song sheets for each seat and they all have to sing us the song as we dance. We had to think of a song that EVERYONE would know so that was interesting....:-) http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=8IatGLZw5cMck

  9. Our travel agent got us 1960 out of Vancouver (including taxes). We don't get anything else though. Sometime you can get free flights or upgrades, we didn't. We just got a super good deal for all our guests.
  10. Here are the sunset times http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/astronomy.html?n=923&month=4&year=2011&obj=sun&afl=-11&day=1
  11. Hopefully this doesn't show 2x, I can't see the original post so am doing again. We were given these photo's to choose the locations: This is what we were told regarding a civil ceremony: We have to have 4 witnesses when we arrive and sent everyone's passport photo's and the bride and grooms birth certificates. We also had to fill out a form for them with all the witness information. When we arrive we will get our blood tests and have the witnesses sign something (?) and then they also sign at the wedding. Everything does have to be translated from Spanish to English and that is covered, I believe.
