Hi Ali, I am getting married at Catalonia Playa Maroma this May 2011. I have heard from several girls that got married here and they said very positive things about their experiences. I've heard the staff is really great, the food is good, and I know the beach is beautiful. As far as the chessy arch(i agree) I'm hoping they can offer something else. The wedding co-ordinator there(karina) sent me pic's of flower options - and yes, mainly lilies and roses, but also some really beautiful looking orchids. I'm going to get married on the beach, then have a semi private reception for about 30 people - have not yet decided to do in the mexican, italian, international restaurant yet. They said you can have your own music(ipod) and hook it up to sound system there, or hire the mariachis for entertainment also(i think around 500 us dollars) My friend who is a photographer will be taking pictures - so no info on that.
