She really wanted a black tie wedding but that has changed. That one reason I don't want to wear a long dress. Maybe I will ask her to go shopping and she will see why i like a shorter dress rather than long.

That's very nice of you to have your FMIL's makeup done. I bet that was a touchy subject to bring up. Maybe she will get into makeup when she sees how great she will look.
