  1. Those were very helpful! Thank you ladies.
  2. I think thats really cute. It means she wants it to be a really great party.
  3. I think if you're on a tight budget not having a private reception is just fine. Lots of brides have done it and are completely happy with their decision
  4. I think its fine to do a RSVP with a STD. Alternatively you could less formally email people and ask them for that information for a head count.

    hii!! :)

Happy Planning! This website is amazing you will find such great support.
  6. I'm sure there is a previous rant about this but I just feel so frustrated right now! Everytime I try to pick a resort and I think oh this one is reasonable I find a bunch of different hidden fees. And why can't they all just have a brochure with all prices and information? It would save the wedding coordinators the 100 emails a day they get from us and save us the frustration! And the prices they charge you for extras are completely ridiculous!! Its getting to the point that destination weddings won't be any cheaper than home weddings. Thats all for my rant right now. Feels good to get some of it off my chest!
  7. Hey ladies I am considering Dreams Palm Beach for my wedding in March 2012. I just have a few questions, I didn't see the answers in earlier posts and if I'm wrong then I'm sorry for repeating. But any help you could give me would be appreciated! We are planning on having a group of about 35-40 people. Since we have more than 25 we can't have our reception in the restaurant, since we have less than 50 people we can't have it on the beach so is my only option to have it in the ballroom? Next, if we get the dinner package but don't get a full wedding package such as dreams of love or ultimate do we have to pay for the rental of the ballroom? When you pay for your dinner, do you have the space until 10:30 for your reception without any additional cost? And lastly, is alcohol included in the dinner price? Thanks!
  8. I think the cheapest resort really depends on which time of year you go. Going in the off season is the best time for lowest prices June-October however its more likely to rain during this time. But lots of girls get married in this time and have no problems. I know its so overwhelming picking a resort and I still haven't 100% decided yet. I just go to lots of websites like expedia, travelocity, orbitz, etc. and check different prices of resorts at different times of the year. Hope that helps some.
