Hello ladies! Finally got through reading all 600+ pages on this post. Very informative! Â I'm also getting married at the Royal, on December 12, 2010. And..I just booked the place this week so, yeah, I have under four months to plan this thing! Â So far the hardest part is done, which was picking a place. I just ordered card samples that should be coming in Monday and as soon as I choose one of the three I picked, it's off to the printers and ready to be mailed out. Currently I'm building the website but still waiting to hear back from my Royal WC. I was trying to see if anyone else has her but didn't see her name anywhere on this thread. Her name is Katia, and so far she's been okay but I'm still waiting to hear details on how to go about getting group rates from her. She said she'd send me a price sheet for both Royal and Gran Porto, but nothing yet. Â As for the Gran Porto, I have a feeling a lot of my guests will be staying there too. I know Gran guests need a day pass to go to Royal (unless they've an upgraded room) but what about Royal guests going to Gran Porto? And don't the two share a beach? I am thinking it mighth be possible to hang out in the beach area without a problem. Â So happy to have found these forums! You ladies have been life-saving! <3

Â I've been busy as you can imagine, both browsing through the forums and making arragements. So much information but so wonderful of all of you to share all the knowledge! ...I just started planning my DW set for December 12, 2010, today. Like...in less than four months? Â First of all, I'ved been lurking these forums for the past week or so, reading everything I could find re: a DW in Playa Del Carmen. So much so that I decided solely on what I've read here to go ahead and book my wedding today at the Royal Playa Del Carmen in a few months. Is that crazy? The wedding coordinator I spoke to didn't say anything so I'm guessing it's not uncommon for people to impulsively plan a wedding in less than 4 months? I haven't even ordered invitations yet...heh...but everyone's aware this was coming so they've been planning ahead. They also know me well enough to expect this kind of nonsense from me. 8( Â Secondly, THANK YOU all so much for the insightful information and reviews you've each contributed. I don't think I would've had the guts to plunge into this thing with so little time left if it weren't for all your sound advice. I really was freaking out when I saw that some of you had been planning your DW a year in advance or more, but I feel a little better after reading all your posts. And confirming availability for that date, which was decided without consulting if there was even availability at the Royal! Â Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself, the WorstBrideEver, leaving everything for the last minute (there's a reason for that!). I don't even have a dress yet. All I have is the groom so far!
