  1. Can anyone tell me which pool (free-form or rectangle) is considered the adult pool? Thank you.
  2. Trying to choose a room at Dreams Tulum (DT)? Just booked, haven't been there yet. But this info took a long time to sort out (even most travel agents aren't fully informed). Hope it helps you. Please confirm your own booking details via an agent or Dreams, but now you'll know what to confirm/ask. Resort map: Suggest you refer to it on the DT website link provided. Hover your mouse/cursor over the white dots & you'll see more info. Room Locations: Hacienda rooms = rooms in older buildings Dreams/Premium/Preferred rooms = rooms in newer buildings Ocean Front = rooms only along the ocean-facing side of the newer (Premium/Preferred) buildings in the pool/beach area. All Ocean Front rooms are junior suites or suites. General resort layout: - Conference center at back of resort furthest from beach. - Hacienda buildings are in the back 1/2 of the resort and a couple are near the beach. - Reception Lobby/Night Club building that includes some Premium/Dreams/Preferred rooms are mid-resort. - Newer (Premium/Dreams) buildings are in the front half of the resort between the Lobby and beach. Note: there are a couple of Hacienda buildings near the beach, too. Room Categories: 1. Deluxe rooms - least expensive, in the Hacienda buildings 2. Preferred/Premium/Dreams rooms - only refers to preferred location on the resort property which means you are in the Premium/Dreams (not Hacienda) buildings that are newer and closer to the pools & beach. When you look on the resort map on the DT website you'll see the new buildings marked as having Premium rooms. 3. Preferred Club rooms - (different from Preferred rooms) have Preferred Club access: an upgraded amenity package including access to an indoor Preferred Club area, free in-room wifi, upgraded toiletries, etc. See full Preferred Club amenity list on the DT "Guest Rooms and Suites" web page. The least expensive room with Preferred CLUB privileges is an Oceanfront room. Room Views: Garden View, Ocean View, Ocean Front Room types: 1. Deluxe Garden View - 451. sq. ft. - standard hotel room layout, in Hacienda buildings 2. Junior Suite Garden View - 515 sq. ft. - hotel room + sitting area layout, in Hacienda buildings 3. Premium (aka Preferred/Dreams) Junior Suite Garden View - 547 sq. ft. - hotel room + sitting area layout, in a Premium (newer) building 4. Deluxe Ocean View - 451 sq. ft. - standard hotel room layout, in Hacienda buildings 5. Junior Suite Ocean View - 515 sq. ft. - hotel room + sitting area layout, in Hacienda buildings 6. Premium (aka Preferred/Dreams) Junior Suite Ocean View - 547 sq. ft. - hotel room + sitting area layout, in a Premium (newer) building Rooms with Preferred Club access: 1. Preferred Club Jr. Suite Ocean Front - 547 sq. ft. - hotel room + sitting area layout, on ocean-facing side of a Premium (newer) building directly overlooking pool/beach (see resort map) 2. Preferred Club Honeymoon Suite - 627 sq. ft. - TO BE CONFIRMED: on a corner of a Premium (newer) building directly overlooking pool/beach (see resort map) with 2 walls & 2 balconies exposed to oceanfront, some with jacuzzi on balcony 3. Hacienda Preferred Club Suite - 623. sq. ft. (some have larger balconies) - larger than the junior suites but in the older Hacienda buildings 4. Hacienda Preferred Club Presidential Suite - 1096 sq. ft. - in the older Hacienda buildings 5. Preferred Club Presidential Suite - 1948 sq. ft. - with a King bedroom in the new Premium/Dreams buildings. Note! A Preferred room is NOT a Preferred CLUB room, e.g. my agent's confirmation sheet showed our booking as a "Preferred Junior Suite Ocean View". It was correct but at first I assumed we'd have Club access & you don't with Ocean View rooms. Apparently DT's converting their Preferred room names to Premium to distinguish them from Preferred CLUB rooms. However, their own website & tour operators haven't caught up with that yet. I hope this helps you.
