Has anyone had any issues with guests wanting to stay alone, but not liking having to pay the full per room rate for a full night stay? Or with not being able to take off work for a full 4 night stay and having to still pay for all 4 days even if only being there 3 nights? We are starting to get concerned with not being able to do a "full takeover" now. Â Also, my fiance and I's friends are used to "all-inclusive" resorts and playa fiesta is unique altogether. But they are commenting on this. Did anyone else have any issues with that? It's a little discouraging since we've told people and just wandering if it is just us, or if anyone else had this problem?? Â Sigh

Thank you Magalie! I hadn't researched the distances yet, but seeing this is a big relief! It can be difficult choosing a place, and ultimately taking a leap of faith when booking a wedding in an area you haven't been before. So all of the information you, and others have shared has helped tremendously! Â Also, you have an amazing bog and the pics turned out great! Â

Â Â I'm sure I'll have lots of questions as Allen and I move forward planning details with Lindsay, but for right now we're happy to have picked the destination...and kinda absorbing the shock of the contract. We are doing a -night, full take over and on paper it's a bit scary seeing the big chunk of change all at once! Also, was it a concern for anyone else having guests eating at set times...and not having the option like other "all-inclusive" places where you eat as you please? Â Hmm.. Â Other then that - couldn't be happier!! So thank you all for sharing so much with all of us newbies so we are able to make better infomed choices!! I am so excited!!! I just paid the deposit for Playa Fiesta for my wedding March 2011!!!! I wasn't sure if it should be there or at Dreams PV or Velas PV, but after reading (a LOT) reviews and chatting with Lindsay...my fiance Allen and I decided Playa Fiesta just FELT right! I am sure, after reading many of your reviews in this forum, talking with Lindsay and Adam is so easy and things just go smoothly. Having a destination wedding...this is soooo important! There are details that I do get a little worried about...filling up hotel for a full take over...guests attending who are used to a typical "all-inclusive" resort and having scheduled meals...it being further then the city then other resorts...but all-in-all, from the moment I stumbled across this hotel, it just felt right. I love the idea of it being more intimate and being surrounded completely by family and friends...it will be truly special! That being said - I am so super excited and cannot WAIT til the big day!! Let the planning begin!!

Oh yayyyy!! My fiance and I are planning on getting married in Puerto Vallarta in February 2011 as well! Just deciding between Dreams and Grand Velas and will secure by end of the weekend. It's so exciting and I agree, this forum has been very helpful! As far as Dreams goes, have you come across any hidden fees or anything like that? Just curious since we are trying to do this all online since we aren't able to actually visit before deciding. Welcome and happy planning!!

Hello my fellow Bride-to-be's, and Bride's!! I am looking to get married in Puerto Vallarta in 2011 and deciding between Dreams and Grand Velas resorts. I have seen great reviews on both, just wandering if anyone has has any advice, or things to be aware of for either of them as far as things that aren't in black and white, hidden fees to think about, etc based on past experience.
