  1. My Fiance and I are getting married at Sandos in less than 4 weeks! I can't wait! I am excited but very nervous at the same time. It is just getting all the little details to come together the way I want that makes me nervous. The bringing down the flowers ( I am getting all the flowers the natural touch ones) and bringing down the dresses safely makes me very nervous. I pray everything will work out because I am getting sick thinking about it!
  2. Welcome On behalf of Austin and Brienna, I welcome you and thank you all for gathering here on this beautiful day to witness their marriage ceremony. The fact that you all have traveled such a great distance to be here today is a testament to the amazing amount of love and support they have. All of you have given them much happiness, love, warmth, and guidance through the various stages of their lives. They would like to sincerely thank you all for being here to celebrate their big day. A special and respectful acknowledgement must also be made to those friends and family members who were unable to attend, or have passed on, but whose spirit remains alive and strong in all our hearts. Austin and Brienna, you are here today surrounded by friends and family. Some people here have known you your entire lives and some for only a few years, but no matter how long or in what circumstances they know you, I can guarantee that everyone here knows what remarkable individuals and what an amazing couple you are. You have chosen to walk through life together. There is no truer statement of love. Before this moment you have been many things to one another- best friend, companion, lover, partner, and even teacher, for you have learned much from one another over the years. Soon you shall say a few words that take you across a threshold of life, and things will never quite be the same between you. For after your vows, you shall say to the world, this- is my husband, this- is my wife. Hand Ceremony As an expression that you are joined together in love - will you please hold up your hands and hold one another, so you may feel the gift that you are to each other. These are the hands of your best friend, young and strong and full of love for you, that are holding yours on your wedding day as you promise to love each other today, tomorrow, and forever. These are the hands that will work alongside yours as together you build your future. These are the hands that will hold you when fear or grief fills your mind. These are the hands that will wipe the tears from your eyes; tears of sorrow and tears of joy. These are the hands that will give you strength when you need it. These are the hands that will tenderly hold your children. These are the hands that will help you to hold your family as one. And lastly, these are the hands that even when wrinkled and aged will still be reaching for yours, still giving you the same unspoken tenderness with just a touch. BRIENNA, WILL YOU LOOK INTO AUSTIN'S EYES AND INTO HIS HEART, AND NOW SAY YOUR VOWS. I, Brienna, take you, Austin, to be my husband, my best friend, partner in life and my one true love. I love you, Not only for what You have made of yourself, But for what You are making of me. With this ring, I give you my heart. I trust you and respect you, I will continue to laugh with you and cry with you. With this ring, I pledge my life and my love to you. From this day forward I will be proud to be your wife and your best friend. Austin, if you accept please say I do… The wedding ring, is a symbol of the unbroken circle of love as it has neither a beginning nor an end. It should always remind those who wear it of the sacredness of marriage and the love that feeds it. AUSTIN , WILL YOU LOOK INTO BRIENNA’S EYES AND INTO HER HEART, AND NOW SAY YOUR VOWS. I, Austin, take you, Brienna, to be my wife, my best friend, partner in life and my one true love. I love you Not only for who you are , But who I am when I am with you. With this ring, I give you my heart. I trust you and respect you, I will continue to laugh with you and cry with you. With this ring, I pledge my life and my love to you. Forever Faithful Brienna, if you accept please say I do… Sand and Shell Ceremony When you arrived at the ceremony today you were asked to place a shell into the jar on the table. We will now have the parents come up and add their shells to the jar. (Austin and Brienna hug their parents) This jar symbolizes the foundation of family and friends in Brienna and Austin’s life. They will now be adding sand from two containers, one represents you, Austin, and you, Brienna, as an individual, and all that you were, all that you are, and all that you will ever be. As these two containers of sand are poured into the third container, they will build upon the foundation that was begun, and the individual containers of sand will no longer exist, but will be joined together as one. Just as these grains of sand can never be separated and poured again back into the individual containers, so your marriage will be also. Closing: Austin and Brienna , now you will feel no rain, for each of you will be shelter for the other. Now you will feel no cold, for each of you will be warmth to the other. Now there will be no loneliness, for each of you will be companion to the other. Now you are two persons, but there is only one life before you. May beauty surround you both in the journey ahead and through all the years. May happiness be your companion and your days together be good and long upon the earth. Give to one another new experiences of joy. Challenge one another so that you may grow. May the love you hold for each other, now sealed in marriage, continue to mature with the passing years. May you never take each other for granted, but always experience the wonder of your union. May the people you touch in your lifetime know how much you love and care for one another and may you love one another forever. With friends and family, along with the sun, the sand, and the sea, I have the pleasure to present to you for the very first time… Mr. and Mrs. Austin Bruggeman You may now kiss the bride!
  3. I am just wondering if anyone knows how much it costs for the papers and blood work to be done for a legal ceremony? I saw something that said $220 for bloodwork and I don't see anywhere how much it is for paperwork... It doesn't seem like that much more to me to do it legally and that way we won't have to feel wierd. Plus this is our first wedding and I don't ever want to get married in a courthouse even if it is just for the legal part. Thanks! We are heading down to Mexico in 36 days!
  4. Thanks , I think we might just add the flowers on the side to the next best package (not the Riviera but the one under that, i think it called the caribbean) 30 bucks isn't bad . Aren't the silk flowers a lot more expensive? I do like the idea though of having my flowers for forever. I hope that none of the restaurants are closed when we are there! It is crazy that they have so many weddings there all the time!
  5. Our wedding is going to be at 3:00pm, I kind of wanted a later one because of the sunset and everything. I think 3 will be a good time though because December and January have the shortest days. Will your photographer be doing some of your photos before the wedding as well? If she is I think you should be fine I just hope it doesnt get dark right after your wedding, so you have some time to get pictures with the sunset in the background.
  6. Hey Ladies, I am getting married at Sandos Playacar on January 7th 2011. I am thinking of going with the Riviera Legal Package, because it is the only package that has the flowers down the side of the aisle and that is how I picture it to be I talked to Maria though and you can edit the packages if there are somethings you don't need. For instance I am doing the best package but one of my bridesmaids is a hair stylist, so I don't need my hair done. I also don't need a photographer because my fiance's aunt who is coming along is one, so Maria said we could take those things out of the package and make it cheaper. I don't want to pay for a DJ or a special spot of the resort so we're all just going to dance in the disco along with the public, it shouldnt be a big deal I hope! Most of my guests are looking forward to the drinks more than anything so I'm sure we will be drinking plenty of those and no matter what we do it will be fun Beck, I am very jealous your wedding is coming up faster than mine. I am getting so anxious!
  7. Thanks, I have been doing that and I have found some good ideas, I am thinking of buying white shirts and trying to find dye a similar color to my dress, but we will see. Thanks for the dress comment also, I like it alot The color is just making things difficult.
  8. Thanks.. Yes I am getting married on the beach at Sandos Playacar in Playa Del Carmen.. I am trying to talk my fiance into a linen suit but he isnt much of a suit kind of guy. If I can't find anything we will probably just go with white for my FI because he loves the look of a crisp clean white shirt. I wish i knew a tailor, that would be very handy in this situation..where else would you find ivory pants?! Thanks for your help!
  9. I have a diamond/ ivory colored satin dress. I cannot decide whether to put my FI in Ivory or white ( I was planning on him just wearing a long sleeve shirt with khaki pants) The problem is white looks very white compared to my dress but all the Ivory swatches look too dark compared to my dress. I need input please! Also, I have no idea what my groomsman are going to wear, I was thinking I would have them wear white shirts pinstriped with turquoise (the color of my BM dresses) but I cant find shirts like those anywhere, they will also be wearing light colored khaki pants. If anyone has any ideas similar to this or just any brand new ideas please PLEASE please let me know! Thanks Here is a link to my bridesmaid dresses, they will be in the colors Jade and Mermaid (every other one) http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_Cotton-Sateen-Strapless-Dress-withRuching-and-Pockets-83312_Bridal-Party-Bridesmaids-Shop-By-Length-Short-Bridesmaid-Dresses
