I like one of their upgraded bouquets... it has peonies it in (my fave!) but it's $230!!! INSANE! Can you not pay the diff since you get these items in your package anyways or do you still have to pay the full amount for these upgrades?

I already bought mine... went to Mockingbird Bridal, Terry Costa (if you are bottom heavy I suggest not looking there. Their sample sizes only go up to a size 8 which street size is like a 6) and Lewisville Bridal. Mockingbird was OK. I felt rushed even with an appointment (2 hours were alloted). Terry Costa haha I have hips so I couldn't fit into any of their dresses. So I ended up at Lewisville Bridal. LOVE THEM! Talk about southern hospitality. I'm telling you they have 500+ dresses in all sizes from 0-20. Street size I'm a 10 so that was great for me. Undergarments, unless you are bashful, don't wear a thong as they are in the room with you helping you with your dress. And if they can't lace up your dress all the way, when you go out in the open to show your family/friends, everyone else gets to see you butt too LOL. I just wore those cheeky panties... white of course. The bridal stores have sample strapless corset bras for you. I have lost 12 pounds already. I was told a seamstress can take in a dress 2 sizes usually no problem. My dress took 3 months to come but it all depends on the designer and I got in RIGHT before the big bridal season rush.
  4. If you pick a package that includes photography, but you want an outside photographer, do you just tell the coordinators that you don't want to use the one that's included in your package?

I'm trying to get her to join this board so she can share her planning with everyone but she's in her last semester of grad school IE no life haha! I can communicate thru her!

I have a couple friends who are getting married at Royal. One in Cancun and one at Gran Porto. The one getting married in Cancun had Suzanna and just found out today after two weeks of no contact that Suzanna left and she had no clue. No email, no phone call, nothing. She called me a few hours ago and she was livid! Can't blame her I guess. I am currently looking into this resort to book my wedding next February and when I hear these horror stories from my friend it makes me think twice. One friend gets married in May (thats when I'll make my decision) and the other in October. But I did talk to Angie on the phone today and she seems really helpful. Does anyone have any experience with her?

Lighting? Etc...? From what I understand, the provide all tables, linens, lights under table and bar, servers 4. Is alcohol included with the dinner? Or is that something extra that has to be paid for? Depends on the package, but usually full bar, 3-4 course meal if you are doing a private reception 5. Does anyone know if their salons are any good? I'd rather just do my hair and everything their at the hotel! I've heard mixed reviews, but if you would rather do that yourself, and don't want some of the other packages items, you could always go a la carte, or get a smaller package and add the a la carte items that you would like. Thank you so much for your answers!! Cool your from Dallas? I lived in Garland my whole life until about 3 years ago then I moved to Rockwall. But I'm in the Uptown area on the weekends all the time!! So the luxury package looks to be the way to go for me too. Do you mind me asking what you picked for your solo musician for the ceremony?
