  1. Hi, hustyg! Our photoshoot was about an hour and a half after our ceremony took place. Hope that helps! Â You guys shouldn't worry about anyone stealing anything. We did not have an IPOD docking station but my husband and I had our passports, wallets, IPODS, 2 sets of wedding rings, lots of cash, and my Coach wristlets in our safe for 2 weeks and were fine:) As long as you make sure you lock it whenever you leave the room, I am sure you will be fine:)
  2. lol, Bee! My husband and I spent 5 hours in our hotel room the day we got the picture CD trying to decide what pictures we wanted! We went through 5 bottles of champagne that day so I totally understand!! Have a great rest of your stay!! =D
  3. Hi, girls! Congrads, Bee!! Glad to hear everything went well:) Â hermosahoops, I love your mugs! We also gave mugs to our guest. We ordered them from Discountmugs.com so they were a little more expensive. But yours are a great idea! The only problem we ran into with them was that some people lost theirs or misplaced them. But, those that still had theirs at the end of the week still use them at home:) Also, I know that target sells mini first aid kits for 99 cents . Â sera1124, I had a beach ceremony and reception about 2 months ago and I did not hear anything about a private area that they were constructing. It could be true but not sure where they would put it. The ceremony and reception were both fine. We had some onlookers but security kept the swimmers away from the area right in front of us and honestly, I was so focused on my husband that he was the only one I saw:) We did not have an arch. They set up a table in between the mionister and you guys so that was fine for us. Also, the reception was no problem. Our ceremony was at 4 and our party didn't really start till after 6 so most people were gone from the beach by then. We actually did have some party crashers- which we wlecomed them- but they came at like the second to last song. lol:)
  4. Hi, girls! Â hustyg, not sure about what minister is included, sorry. I did have a free trial done on my hair. I set that up with Tiara when we met. Also, the resort does have spotlights that they set up on the beach so you can see at night. Â Good luck, Pink!! I hope you have a safe trip and an amazing time!! Just enjoy yourself - especially your wedding day!! And drink lots of champagne!! =) Â Today is our recovery day from the last two days...lol. Our celebration party went so well and we had such a great time! I didn't wear my dress, again. I actually got a cute white dress that I wore and had my Bridesmaids do my hair:) We put out some pictures from the wedding, had our video playing, and just had a great time with everyone that came. Thanks, again, for all the well wishes:)
  5. Hi, girls! Thank you so much for all the well wishes about or party this weekend:) We can't wait and cannot believe it is here, already and that we left almost 2 months ago! Just please ladies, ENJOY EVERY MOMENT!!!!!!! So far, our party is getting crazier and bigger every day- which is a good thing:) It is at my mom-in-law's house and she is setting everything up just like we had it on the beach:) yeyeyey!!!! Â NancM- thats great about your dress!! Congrads katierenae! Â I talked briefly with Elke when I went to get my hair done at the spa and she speaks really good english, fyi. Â I am praying for you, PP, that the storm passes! I think its supposed to be in the states by friday so I think you will be okay:) Â hustyg, what kind of ceremony are you having? Also, I did go to the spa and I had Maria do my hair and makeup and nails- as well as hair and nails of my MOH's and she did an amazing job. I was nervous from past reviews of girls on here but everything turned out great:) If you are talking about the photos you receive from the resort's wedding package then yes, they are only during the ceremony. If you purchase an HDC package, it depends on which one you choose as to how long they will stay.
  6. Hi, ladies! Sorry I have posted in a while...my hubby and I have our celebration party this weekend and are busy planning that and getting everything ready:) We can't wait! Â Congrads, Nadia!! Good luck and have an amazing time!!!!! Â Good luck, dcairns with the shipping. I am sure the bubblewrap will be fine:) Â hustyg, we had DJ Mannia nad he was great. But, I know some people do bring their own music and stuff and that is good, too. Yoiu can rent the resort's speakers for $250., I believe. Â Krod, DJ Mannia charges $900. for 4 hours. I think he is definitely worth it because then you don't have to worry about the music- he takes care of everything. He follows your lead and platys whatever you want. He also did introductions for us and played some songs from a CD that we brought. Plus, he was actually there longer for us. He came around 4 (when the ceremony was starting) to set up. He played while we were all taking pics and then we even tipped him and he stayed till almost 11- which is the time it has to end, anyway. Â PP, good luck with everything! When do you leave?
  7. Hi, ladies! Â hustyg, I'm glad you enjoyed my pics:) I can't stress enough how good HDC is:) We did have the Ultimate package with HDC and it was definitely worth it. I think you get a lot for the price you pay. Arnaud was there from me getting ready, to the ceremony, photoshoot afterwards, and part of the reception. I actually wish he could have stayed longer...lol. Having the reception on the beach was amazing! Everyone was saying how it looked like a scene from a movie! And the sand was fine to dance on:) We also got the Ultimate package for the reception and was also really worth it. The bonfire was great and I definitely recommend that, as well:) We had our ceremony at 4 and originally I thought it was early, but it actually was a perfect time. We had plenty of sunshine and time to take pictures afterwards. Â Thanks, dcairns! Your centerpieces look beautiful! I would say just be careful with the glass...make sure you have a back up plan just in case, God forbid, one of them breaks in the luggage. The SSG is beautiful and I am sure will be great for your reception. A major plus is the air conditioning and it is really nice inside:)
  8. Thanks, PP! you are almost there!!! 3 weeks to go! Congrads:) and remember to breathe! =) Thanks, KPEG:) Â Hi, Jen! Its funny because Marta and Mariela were telling me about you the other day! They said they knew someone that was getting married at the same place. Marta was my Matron of Honor (and is my hubby's cousin) and Mariela was one of my Bridesmaids. They are great girls:) We all had a blast. You are going to love Dreams! It is just beautiful!
  9. oh, if you just click on my name (GEM) then it will bring you to my info. Scroll down and click on album and boom! my pics:) enjoy!
  10. Ireyes, the heat actually wasn't that bad. It was hotter here in the states than there when we were there. The mosquitos were pretty bad, though. We all had bites from them. I think they are unavoidable wherever you go. Just cover yourself in bugspray before you go out and bring some concealer for coverups. Â Thanks dolfinluck! Â hustg...about the resort photographers. I think they were pretty good. We hired HDC but in our package was included 50 pics from the resort that they took during the ceremony. They came out really nice. Something they did that was amazing and beyond what we expected was the video. It came in our package and covered the ceremony and a little bit after and is just so beautiful! Â hermosahoops, thanks:) It would definitely be worth it to stay for the extra 4 days not only because the resort is great but then you don't have to worry about packing everything up and spending time going somewhere else when you could be at the bar or wherever...=) Â Hi, uninspired. I am glad you are starting to destress:) Its really funny that this is supposed to be such a happy time in our lives but sometimes we lose sight of that because of all of the stress and the drama. I know it is hard to forget all that but please try. This is a fun time- this is your time! And no one else's......good luck:)
  11. Hi, girls! Thanks for all the sweet comments! And today we just got our wedding book from HDC and its beautiful! Â dcarnis, lol I added you on fb:) Â Thanks, NancM. My bouquet, my hubby's boutinere, the Best Man's boutinere, and I think my grandpa is wearing one and my mom in law- they were all real and included in our package with the resort. The girls' bouquets as well as the other groomsmen's boutinere's were fake. I bought them in a flower warehouse in jersey. After the ceremony, we actually used the BM's bouquets as the centerpieces. We got some fancy glasses from the bar, put some blue stones that I brought in them, and stuck the flowers right in them and they worked out nicely:) Â Mrs. Williams and irisheyes, I added you:) Â In my opinion, and my hubby's and our guests that tried the cake, it was delicious!!! We weren't too picky how it looked as long as our cake topper was on top. They actually serve the same cake in the buffet as dessert and whenever we could, we would go and get some during the week because it was so yummy!
  12. Thanks, Katierenae! Congrads on picking Dreams! You will love it! It definitely is a hard decision to make- but I really think you will be happy with it:) And ya know, I always thought it would be less stress to plan a destination wedding...but now definitely not! But it is well worth it:) Â Like I mentioned before girls, if you want to see all my professional pics please request me on fb and send me a little message so I know you're from this forum, please:) I did post some pics to an album here- just click on my name and go to my albums and you should be able to see them. Let me know if this works. Thanks!
