this thread is awesome - and i think i know what to add to my registry tks ladies!!! I found at the pharmacy a 3-pack of laundry detergent specifically for washing clothes in the sink - definently picked up a few of them - Tide makes them - they will be great since we are going down for 2 weeks!

I would have to agree. Engagement parties to me aren't really necessary especially if you are having all the other events. I think if anything it is just a social gathering to congratulate the future bride and groom. For them to have put a registry on the invite is not very considerate. They shouldn't expect anything from anyone. Bridal shower yes put it on the invite. I think if you want to bring a gift leave it up to the individual, don't stick a registry card in the invite and expect something at every wedding social gathering.

Wow really - I sent the STDs out in January 2010 and responses back by November 2010 - everyone had to have their deposits down for the trip no later than March 31, 2011.

Well ladies I picked up my dress this past weekend after having ordered it in November. I was so scared I wasn't going to like it anymore but after putting it on I knew it was the one I had full intentions of purchasing a casual destination wedding gown - well that never happened!! Still need to get alterations done. We had some fun at the bridal store - the pink at the bottom is the hanger lol this is what I am looking to do with my hair - complete opposite of what I was going for but I love it - I also purchased that veil becuase the beading in it was meant for my dress!! This picture of my sitting makes me laugh - almost like I should be on top of a cake

That dress was in the sears catalogue - definently not what we went with though lol so much for not being a formal wedding lol

bumping this thread . . . I really want to get 2 tattoos on both my feet. On my right foot I want a heart to represent me and then stars for my siblings and parents and on my other foot I want 2 joining hearts to represent my FI and I and than 2 small paw prints for our puppies . . . when we have kids I could add the stars on this. My FI on the other hand is not a fan of tattoos and thinks they make women go "crazzy lol I think he is holding me back from getting them because I know he doesnt like them but I really want to get them. I did compromise and told him i would wait until after the wedding to get it . . .suggestions?
