  1. Hi Brooke, You do have some beautiful places to select from. A lot depends on your budget and what you want. I had the opportunity to visit with many of the venues this past December. We stayed at the Barcelo Maya Place and they offer anything you or your guests may want. They have five different price levels, but each one is beautiful! They have a lovely gazebo as well as beach front sites. One of the things we got to participate in was a Maya Wedding. The bride arrived via canoe from the ocean then the ceremony was performed on the beach, followed by the reception on the beach. It was really beautiful. This is something each of the venues do with some variations. The Grand Palladium in Riviera Maya was lovely.Fiesta Hotel Group: The Royal Suites, Palladium Resorts, Fiesta Hoteles, Fresh Apartamentos, Ayre Hoteles - Información, Reservas y Ofertas Real Resorts Mexico|Real Resorts Cancun| Real Resorts Playa del Carmen|Luxury Hotels in Mexico the Royal in Cancun Be sure to check out Dolphin Discovery for a great experience. Swim with Dolphins at Dolphin Discovery on Mexico and the Caribbean. Another place to consider is Campeche. This is a very authentic Mexican experience, beautiful and not as well known.Campeche Hopefully this will help. If you need further assistance such as coordinators in that area, please let me know and I'll be glad to give you some names. However, you might want to work with someone from the US to be there with you as well so you don't have to worrry about anything.
  2. I had the opportunity to visit with many of the venues in the Cancun/Rivera area and all seemed very open to having Jewish weddings. Also, you shouldn't have any problem having your Aunt and Uncle preside over the ceremony. You do, however, have to have one of their judges, justice of the peace (which each hotel has access to) do the legal part. You can do two separate ceremonies or tie them together. I found the hotels eager to help and make it a special day for you. This is a good reason to have a coordinator to help get everything organized for you the way you want it. You need to plan three days (sometimes it's less) for blood tests. This is done at each venue as well so sometimes they can do it in less than the three days. The other option you have, is to get married legally before going to Mexico, then have your Aunt and Uncle perform the marriage ceremony. This way you can do it without having to wait. Hope this helps. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance. It's a beautiful area. Check out the Barcelo Maya Palace.
  3. Good Morning! I just had the opportunity to personally visit many of the venues and meet with many of the vendors in the Cancun/Rivera area in Dec. Here's one of the wedding planners I met that you might find very helpful: Tatiana Carrion Esteban Puerto Vallarta / Riviera Maya Mexico All Inclusive Luxury Resorts carriont@grandvelas.com Maria de Jesus Castillo cancunbridal@prodigy.net.mx or weddings@cancunbridal.com www.cancunbridal.com Cancun Weddings, Cancun Wedding Consultant offers Wedding Planning Services in Cancun, Riviera Maya Imucel@cancun-weddings.com Each venue also has on-site planners, however, they don't generally do the things brides may need such as sewing on buttons, taking care of emergencies etc. You also have the option of hiring a wedding coordinator near you, who can take care of all the details and be there for you on your wedding day. Hope this is helpful. Please let me know if I might be of any further assistance.
