  1. Thanks! Jess, I LOVE your pictures! So glad you suggested that! We will definitely check it out! I love that they have horses as I'm a horse and dog behaviorist and was hoping to get some snapshots of me with some horses (and maybe a few dogs!) in my dress Yeah! That makes me sooo happy!
  2. Hey brides! We want to find a place (not at our resort) in Puerto Vallarta for a sexy Trash The Dress session. Any suggestions from those who have done it? A cool place downtown? A secluded beach? Caves? We're open to anything so feel free to suggest away!
  3. I hear you Sunshine! After hours upon hours upon HOURS of research on here and the internet we're pretty sure about Dreams PV. It's hard to do a search on here because it just points you to a general thread. Some of the threads are soooo long it takes hours just of scrolling through posts to find what you're looking for. But once found the info is invaluable! I wish there was a more detailed search option that would take you right to the specific post as opposed to the general thread. Perhaps there is and I just haven't found it yet! I've done price comparisons on the cost of the wedding, quality of resort and cost for our guests. So far it's the most bang for our buck I can find. The reviews are all fantastic and the resort seems safe for our safety concerned guests. If you find out anything please feel free let me know! I would love some input! I will also let you know if I find out anything about a better resort! I will be traveling to PV in April so I'm going to be able to do a recon mission at Dreams. Hoping I will make a decision then! Let me know if you want me to check on anything for you! Good luck...I feel your pain!
  4. Alright...am I blind!? LOL I've been scouring the threads for hours at night and can't find anything other than a quick blurb about going to Rendevous after the dinner. I'm trying to decide if we should plan a party outside of the resort or is Rendevous really fun? Dancing? Music? Space for 50 people? I just don't want to have a "flop" of a party after the dinner and want to make sure it will be a blast for the guests who want to continue the celebration! Could someone either tell me where exactly the descriptions of what you did after the dinner are or just repost it here? Thanks!
  5. Thanks Autumn! I'll keep searching. I thought I cleared out that thread but must have missed it! I'm glad to know there is dancing later in the night. I couldn't seem to make sense of it but that is all we needed to know! That was the final piece of the puzzle we needed to solidify our choice of Dreams PV! Just wanted to make sure we weren't going to be twiddling our thumbs at 11:30pm when we're all pumped up to dance and celebrate! Thanks again for your help!
  6. Thanks ladies! Dreams it is! I'm working with Rebeca via email and will get a TA that works well with Dreams. Appreciate the input!
  7. Hey ladies! Still trying to pick a resort and I'm curious as to what you do after 11:30pm at Dreams when we have to leave Las Palmas. Is there a fun bar everyone can move to? A nearby club? Seems like ending the reception at 11:30 is a little early for my crew Thanks!
  8. OK...we are trying to pick our venue for our May 2011 wedding. We are pretty set on somewhere in Mexico since airfare seems pretty cheap for our guests. So far Dreams Puerto Vallarta is our resort of choice but the prices are going up and they have a lot of hidden charges now. SO...we just want to get a few more options to check out. Here is what we are looking for: 1) All-Inclusive 2) Under $150 night per person for a decent guest room 3) Nice suite under $500/night for me and FI 4) Nice beach 5) Good food 6) Somewhere we can have a dinner and then some dancing afterwards I think that's about it! LOL Can anyone recommend somewhere other than Dreams? If not, I guess we'll just head there! Thanks ladies! Kate

  13. Wow! These are incredible! I am going to attempt a DIY since I have 9 months or so to get them done. I hope I can figure out how you did this! Bravo...very impressive! Cheers, Kate
  14. Hi everyone! If all goes as planned this week I'll be finalized as a Dreams Puerto Vallarta bride May 21, 2011!
  15. Great! Thanks guys! I'll go on the hunt for a good travel agent! Please feel free to continue with suggestions or prices...this helps me a lot! Cheers! Kate
  16. Hey everyone! New bride here! I'm in the process of deciding if Dreams PV is the right destination for us. I am working with the resort to get a definite price on our room as well as our guest rooms. I've seen on here that some brides who booked 30 guest rooms got their room for free. Is this a special deal or the "usual" for DPV? Did you get your whole stay taken care of? Just trying to make sense of this Thanks ladies! Don't know WHAT I would do without this site! Sure makes planning a wedding in Mexico a MILLION times easier! Cheers! Kate P.S. Any hints on getting the cost of the guests rooms down so we can save them money??
  17. Hey ladies! I'm trying to sort through this. I am a May 2011 bride and I am doing the Ultimate Wedding Package as well. However I was quoted $85/person for anyone over the 20 included. This included drinks, cocktail hour, food and cake. I thought that sounded extremely steep and am now seeing that it is! I'll shoot them an email and find out why I was quoted so high. Hmmmmmmmmmmm. So great to have this forum!!
