  1. Thanks for all the input. I'm just worried because my dad's a very stubborn and uptight guy. He thinks he's very different from my stepdad and doesn't have anything nice to say about him, while my stepdad's been nothing but wonderful and would never say a bad thing about my dad. It's just all very awkward, and I'm worried that if I tell my dad before he books his trip (which is 3 months away mind you), he'll decide to stay home...

At any rate, thanks again for all your input guys!

  2. Hey guys, good luck on your first day! I'd recommend also doing measurements for sure. When you start to lose weight, you may get discouraged if you don't see numbers moving in the direction you want! Measure these spots:

Right Bicep at its widest point

    Chest across the nipples

    Waist at its narrowest point

Waist 1" below the belly button

    Hips at widest point

Right thigh also at its widest point

Tash, I'm going to email you a great spreadsheet I made to track my client progress. When I started working out I was part of jillianmichaels.com and we'd do challenges like this one all the time. It's actually why I became a trainer! It'd be cool for you to post it each week so the gals can see where they're at and how well they've done!

Here's my 3 biggest tips, which I've given before but just a refresher:

DON'T DRINK YOUR CALS! PERIOD! This includes juice people!! Milk's ok.

CUT OUT STARCHES! Pastas, white breads, potatoes. I know it sounds terrible, but the reason you crave them is because your body's sugar levels aren't balanced. Starch turns to sugar instantly when you eat it, spiking energy levels and making you feel satisfied. Never lasts though! Cutting them out will stop cravings and you'll start eating when you're actually hungry.

DRINK LOTS OF WATER! It'll help you feel satiated and you'll be less inclined to munch away.

Oh, and I know it sounds simple but EAT SLOW and stop eating when you feel full! Your body takes 20min to register that you're full, so it's very easy to over-eat.

Don't forget those crunches - 25 each day this week!

    Have a good day!

  3. How annoying of her to be so selfish! If it makes you feel any better, I asked my MOH if she could accompany me to the biggest wedding show of the year that's happening this weekend and she's decided that she'd rather go shopping in the states!!!!! It's the first and only thing I've asked of her this far and she's been my MOH since May 2009! Definitely a different situation, but why is it so hard to think of the women who honored them with the title of MOH in the first place?? Sheeezz..!!!!

  4. I'm in the same boat with the OOT's also, just waiting for that final headcount, which I should have within this month. I'm only off by a couple bags but I'd rather not make too many...!!

I'm not sure if we're getting special treatment because of my FI's parents memberships or what, but they seem to be on board to fill all my requests regarding group bookings, and I just reviewed my contract to confirm that there's nothing about them whatsoever.

I have all of my emails saved, so I will be going through them tomorrow morning to try to find that specific info.

I'm down Monday to Monday also, then we're transferring to Aventura Spa Palace for our 2nd week. We'll definitely have to plan a night down there to have a couple drinks for sure!

  5. Yay! I'm at 3pm on the beach! My plans are pretty much done for the wedding, as we're having a small group come and we're not doing a real reception down there. We'll be having the ceremony, doing pics, and then probably hanging in the lounge with an appy or 2 before dinner. Not sure where dinner will be yet, but afterwards we'll head back to my FI's dad's presidential suite for a few more cocktails before going dancing at the disco on site.

My main planning is going into the darn AHR! So much work! I'm a DYI queen so this site is keeping me busy and full of ideas!

Hey Avery, Claudia is in Miami, and you'll be getting another WC who's on-site soon. I'd recommend asking Claudia to provide that info to you now so you can start communicating directly with your on-site WC. Some gals have had issues with this, but I have Claudia Fonseca and she's been extremely easy to communicate with.

FutureMrsFoulton has had problems with hers, and I believe her name is Kelena? Can't exactly remember.

How about you two, planning going well??

  6. Hi Avery,

First off, we're date buddies! What time are is your ceremony?

Who's your WC? My FI's parents are Palace members, so we did all our booking through them. We were planning on only having family and everyone booked that way, but a few friends have decided to come and I found an online place to book them through. Once I mentioned this to my WC, she told me she'd honour it as a group booking regardless if we actually did the group booking or not.

Be firm about it with your WC and I think they'll honour the rooms.
