 I'll PM you.  Oooh, HAVE FUN!!!  I feel like this has to be a mistake. Maybe your TA meant total and not per person. I had that happen a few times with quotes I got. It seemed like they could never keep straight whether the quote was total or per person. Fingers crossed this is what happened! That would be a crazy price for an El Dorado resort.  LOVE these!!!! Great job!!! It must be such a relief to have these done.

BigBop, sorry you're not having as positive an experience as we did!

 I used them and had a really good experience. She got us great rates (which we locked in right away with a group contract), was always prompt with her replies (usually replied within hours of my emails), always answered her phone at any time of day or would call me back if she was out, and really went to bat for us when Karisma decided to be jerks. I do know that it can be hit or miss when it comes to DW.com TAs.  That really sucks they're giving you different rates. I agree that if you have it in writing somewhere you should really fight the rate change. Â

Love the dress!! Â As for the spreadsheet, your wedding is still a bit out so I wouldn't worry that you haven't seen one come your way yet. I think we got our first look at ours about 5 months before our wedding. Once we had most of our details nailed down, we sent them to our WC and she came back with them all nicely laid out in a spreadsheet.

I too vote for it to come back!! It was really quite helpful to go back and fix mistakes.

  My point exactly ladies! It's impossible to give an accurate estimate of a budget since we all define our budgets differently. Our wedding was very bare bones, nothing fancy, immediate family only (28 ppl total), and we came out to about 15K. But I included EVERYTHING in my budget including all 10 days at the resort, flights, my dress, rings, insurance, all the wedding stuff, and on and on. Â

 Welcome!! The budget question is a pretty hard one to answer. Everyone's weddings are so different and we all do different things that change the cost. Things like how long you're staying, how many guests you have, the wedding location you choose, the package you choose, which photog you use, if you do a cocktail party or not, if you have a private reception or not, if you have special flower requests, if you're doing OOT bags, if you're using a DJ, what kind of centerpieces you have....will all affect your cost. I'd say you'd be hard-pressed to pull off a wedding at any Karisma resort for under 10K, with the average being 15-20K?  Oh so fun!!!!!!! I'm quite jealous!  Â

Yup, I agree with this completely. This is a very good explanation of why they charge for private events. I too was caught of guard since ours was AI, but in the end it made sense to me. Just keep in mind the bright side: even at $40 per person, that's still way cheaper than a traditional wedding that can run over $100 per person for food! Not much I know, but it's something Â

No, they do not charge the usual price no matter the cake. In fact, if you stray from their standard cake menu, the price sky rockets! I submitted a couple cakes that were simpler than the ones on their menu and they were almost double the price. AmyKH was able to negotiate the price of her cake but with me it was like I was talking to a brick wall. Â Â This is an EXCELLENT attitude to have!!! Â
