Lisa - Love how your rehearsal dinner turned out. How did you get past their rule that you have to be a guest at the hotel to have a rehearsal dinner there? I remember last year there was an issue with that. Thank you! I had no issues; he never brought it up as being a prerequisite. Rissa, I'll post some pics from the resort photographer that came free with my package later

Just wanted to show people what the Junior Oceanfront room 534 looks like (it's the corner right above the gazebo, so it has a side window too!) I asked for room close to the gazebo so I wouldn't have far to walk and I got this amazing room. It is very close to the elevator so you just walk out, turn the corner and you're right there! I just wanted to let you know how amazing this room is!!! It was also nice being able to peek out as they were making the preparations in the gazebo :-) This is how far I had to walk

Ivan Luckie for both photo sessions. He also brought an assistant, Willie, who is great. Heck yeah, the price is great yay, how exciting! You did good, Ivan and Fernando are greatness. I'm not used to wearing so much makeup, but Fernando had Ivan take a pic for me while getting it done and I was instantly reassured. you'll love them!

Both of those vendors are awesome. My only blip was that I thought I could pay with credit card for Marvin, so while I was having makeup done, my MOH had to call my brother and ask him for money (thank God he had that kind of cash pulled already)....so have the cash lol. You know, i'm not exactly sure since Ivan did the driving. It was great because it was pretty private and the water was amazing. I'm sure he'd let you know..I think his forum name on here is iLuckie

I didn't mention having Fernando and his assistant. I didn't have to pay the fee either. I asked him about this and he said that security is very familiar with him and they just called me to confirm he could come to my room and he did :-). Ladies, thanks for all the nice comments about the pics. It took 3 months but it was worth the wait because i can tell he took his time editing them (and removing people from the beach lol). I would book him asap because he's getting popular and I think he may be increasing price. Lock it in! lol . If you do TTD, bring your bouquet (or I just used petals from the bouquet my WC sent to room). Also ask to do a few shots alone underwater (I think girls are more graceful underwater lol)

I just got my pics back from Ivan!!! Ivan has always been cheerful and quick to respond in emails. I booked him in early January of 2010 for my 11.24.10 wedding, and after going through more of his pictures, decided to contact him again for my TTD session. I was so completely excited that he does underwater pics at a VERY competitive price. I asked him for a few examples and the quality was amazing. I booked him for beach, cenote and underwater that same day. *update* I just got my pictures back from Ivan and they are amazing- both wedding and TTD session. This man has crazy energy and was like a fish in the water (hubby and I would come up for air 3 times before Ivan would come up lol). He really has a great eye and everyone has been commenting on how fantastic our pics are. My wedding was during busy season, so it took a longer than expected, however, it was well worth the wait. Here is the trash the dress session: https://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=105953&id=1147850546&l=29ed57e5ab and our wedding (too bad facebook has a limit of 200 pics for an album lol): https://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=105970&id=1147850546&l=c25c7adaa1

I would definitely recommend it. I went back and forth on maybe adding it for the reception and decided to just go with the ceremony one. It is great to see and relive again. Do it! I actually wish I would have just sucked up the cost and done it for part of the reception too because my brother took a few video clips at the reception (I had no idea until later) and I was soooo thankful because it let us remember EXACTLY how it was- the songs played, the dancing, and frivolity. They did a good job editing it too and catching little touches like the sky, our wedding programs, the guys being nervous and joking around before the ceremony, the harpist warming up (the harpist was amazing btw- i had him play canon in d when i walked out). You won't regret paying the extra money, but you will regret not doing it. You only live once, right? :-)
