  1. Great job. Now that you have your logo done, what type of paper will you print it on? Labels? Do they make round labels?
  2. For you December brides, I just received some favors that I ordered off of Ebay. They are Christmas ornament sandollars, with our names, date, and location printed on them. Sooooo cute. You get 10 of them for $20. I'm haveing a small wedding so that is all I needed. The site is BEACH THEME REAL SAND DOLLAR STAR FISH WEDDING FAVORS - eBay (item 250405299415 end time Oct-08-09 06:43:20 PDT)
  3. Congratulations and welcome. You'll find a lot of helpful information on this forum.
  4. I didn't have much luck finding beach towels locally at this late date, but ordered some really cute ones from Bed, Bath and Beyond for $7.99 each. They were bright colors and had one row of starfish embroidered across them. I also ordered some striped ones from Target, 2 for $12.99. I haven't received them yet, but plan to have the location embroidered on them, possibly the date. We're only having 11 guests and didn't want to buy very many. I also bought some really nice beach bags at Walmart for just $5.00 last week. They came in multiple colors, some solid and some stripe. I went to a couple of Walmarts and they each had a very good supply.

    Late Bride

Congratulations. I'm also a December bride, getting married in Cabo. Our wedding is going to be very small (11 of us), so it hasn't been as hectic for me as it has for others. However, I've gotten a lot of good ideas and help from the ladies on this forum and you will find everything you need here. Good luck with your planning.
  6. Hi, Michelle. Congratulations. You'll find everything you need to know on this forum. I'm been glued to it. Good luck with your planning.
  7. Where did you get the pashminas and what color did you go with?
  8. Does anyone have any that they don't need? My Target doesn't have them now.
  9. We're having our wedding at the Hilton Los Cabos and have a room rate of $119 per night. (not bad), however, it is not all-inclusive. Our guests are flying from Houston, Dallas, and LA, so the flights vary in price. I've stayed there quite a few times and just love it.
  10. Cabs can get expensive. We have 11 people in our group and was wondering what the best form of transporation would be? Let me hear your plans for getting your group around? Also, how are you getting your guests from the airport to the hotel and back?
  11. Thanks, Karla and Autjo. I feel much better. I wish now, I could just decide on flowers (i.e. bouquet, boutonniere and arch). What colors are y'all using? I'm wearing a long, ivory dress and my fiance is wearing a black tux. I was considering red, thinking it might be pretty being so close to Christmas, however, I've always liked the ivory/white wedding bouquets too.
  12. Glad to hear it's the going rate. Thanks for your input. I see that your wedding date is my deceased father's birthday. He was a great man, so I think that all things are great on that special day. Best wishes to you!!
  13. Mu daughter got married at LeKliff a couple of years ago and it was just beautiful. Only bad thing though, is during the ceremony, it appeared that a storm was coming in. You could smell the rain coming. We got through the ceremony, got through dinner, got through the first dance and right when the party was getting started, the wind picked up - blowing everything everywhere. Then, the rain came - pouring right through the straw roof. They said it hadn't rained in months. Even the room where she got dressed before the wedding flooded. They were rushing everyone out of there, saying that with rain like that, the roads would close. Of course, everyone had to wait for taxis and it seemed like there were only a few operating, taking everyone back to Dreams (where we stayed) and then they returned to pick up more people. We didn't even get to eat the wedding cake. It was still a beautiful wedding and LeKliff is absolutely the most beautiful place in PV to have it. Just check the weather first. Congratulations and enjoy your big day. It will be gorgeous.
  14. Hi, Ladies. I'm getting married in December at the Hilton Los Cabos. My wedding will probably be a little different than most of yours because I am a much older bride. In fact, my 30 year old daughter will be my MOH and my FH's son will be his best man. It's going to be a very small wedding with only 11 of us. I would, very much, appreciate your ideas on a couple of concerns that I have. Our photogragher says that the ceremony should be 4:30 -5:00, in order to have the sunset in our pictures. Then, we're going to have the cake cutting ceremony - just for pictures during the sunset and the WC said that would last about 10 minutes. Then, there will be pictures with everyone. (We're just having the photogragher for one hour and he'll start with the ceremony - I guess). The WC suggested that we have drinks/champagne for about 30 minutes on one of the terraces, before having our dinner at 6:00pm - and after dinner, we'll actually eat the cake. Does 6:00 for dinner seem too early to y'all? I just don't know what else to do with this group? Keep in mind, that we all are in our mid-50's, except for my mother and the 4 kids in their 30's. The WC has us down for dinner from 6pm - 9pm. Not sure it's going to take that long but what should we do afterwards? The only thing I know to do is hang out at the Lobby Bar, which would be fine. What do y'all think?
  15. I'm getting married in December in Cabo and the hotel is handling everything for me as a "Package". They have given me choices for the Vendors. The flower package, which includes Bride's bouquet, Groom's boutonniere, flowers for arch or huppa and rose petals, is $1,000. Does that seem about right to you? My florist choices are Mazarte Floral, Cabo Floral Studio and De Fiore. Does anyone have any recommendations?
  16. My daughter got married in PV a couple of years ago. All of the guests stayed at Dreams. However, her wedding was actually at LeKliff. If you have not already booked Dreams for your wedding site, I would highly recommend LeKliff. Check out their website at lekliff.com. Very, very romantic place for a wedding, dinner and reception. My daughter's in-laws hosted a "rehearsal" dinner at Dreams, which was very nice. It was a private dinner set up beside one of the side pools.
  17. Thanks, Ladies. Alonso Aguirre was recommended to me. Have any of you heard of him?
  18. Has anyone used a solo guitarist?
  19. How was your wedding at the Hilton Los Cabos. My wedding will be there on December 19, 2009. Who was your WC - and how many guests did you have? I would appreciate any info/advice you have for me - and we also, are doing the legal ceremony there instead of Texas.
  20. Thank you. I'm also from Texas. Orginally from Houston but live in Dallas now. Having trouble finding that special dress.
