Unfortunately, No. She couldn't remember, but she said that both companies use the same flowers on their website (same pictures too) and that they are both bad news. UPDATE - I was able to get Mastercard to agree to give me my deposit back, but apparently at the exact same time Crystal decided to give me my money back - so it all worked out in a crazy-over the top way. The worst part of all of this, is that I feel as though I'm a crazy insane bride! How did this all become my fault!

It has come time to put this topic up - people need to be aware of what is happening with this company, and what OTHER companies know about them. I'm not going to go into the whole gory details (that is available on at least 3 other threads on here) - but it needs to be said. Bittersweet has screwed over one too many brides on this forum... and MANY other forums too - please take the time to just google them, before you place an order! .................................................. ................................................. I finally gave up on Crystal (as I should have long ago - she was nearly 2 weeks late, and too many excuses deep into my order for me to trust it coming at all - plus I have been completely unable to contact her for nearly a month), and put in a complaint with the BBB - and I'm calling Mastercard today to see if they can do anything about my deposit. Anyways, last night I started emailing a few other companys - and loh and behold, one of the quotes I put in online mentioned that I was looking for a company that wouldn't screw me.... well the lady gets back to me (sorry I can't remember the company at the top of my head), and says "Let me guess Bittersweet?" - well I press her a little bit, and she comes back and says that Bittersweet and another company in the states have been giving Brides the run around for months. She said they seem to just give out enough flowers to get a few good reviews, and then they seem to dry up around Bridal season! Now, this is just one companys reviews (and mind you, she is looking for my money too), but seeing as I didn't even have to give her the company name - that says A LOT! So, beware Bittersweet! If anyone is on any other forums, please post this somewhere! We need to keep people from giving up their deposit so freely!

I'm going to cry. Her website isn't working right now (at least for me), and I found a page online that states that "This vendor has indicated that they are no longer in business". Oh my god. Seriously, WTF!

Yep, full mailbox - for over a month now! As October 1 came and past (and so did my engagement photos, without my flowers... they still looked great, but not what I wanted) - this weekend I sent over 4 emails to Crystal, all of which have gone unreturned. Well, on Sunday I had had enough. I sent her an ultimatum email (which I've never had to do before, and I really wish I hadn't had to go this far). If I don't hear from her by Thursday afternoon, then I'm going to assume that this relationship is over - and I'm going to agressively start steps to get my money back. I just don't think she has left me any other choice. I agree with Scott-Pierre! Please DO NOT use this company! If it comes around to everything working out, this has been so tainted for me - that no matter what happens, it isn't worth it.

3 emails later, and 2 phone calls (Voice mail is still full), and Crystal hasn't dropped a line at all. Today is October 1, and I haven't even received my proofs - let alone the flowers. I should concede, I have a package waiting for me at the post office tonight (Fiance called to let me know to pick it up), but since I have had no contact with Crystal, and no proofs - I think its a safe bet to assume that the package is one of the other 10 things I'm waiting for delivery for (none of which are overdue, I should mention. Everybody else has been absolutely fantastic!).

Thanks, Scott-Pierre. I've read it and its definitely helpful. I heard from Crystal last Tuesday - and she told me that she I would receive my proofs before the weekend, and to expect my flowers on October 1 just as contractually obligated. Well, Sunday at midnight found me emailing Crystal saying that I hadn't received the proofs. Hmmm... something familiar with this picture?

I know we said we would only add something if it was relevant. Well, I've emailed Crystal 3 times and have left 2 voicemails (and when I went to call her today her voicemail box is full) in order to find out what was happening with the flowers (my wedding is on March 20, 2010 - but I asked to have the flowers no later than October 1, as they were to be included in my engagement photos)... nothing. Nada. Zip. No photo proofs as promised, no contact back - and I'm being fair here, as I emailed her over a month ago and my first voicemail was 2 weeks ago. Sigh. If I haven't heard anything by October 1, then I'm not sure what I'm going to do... I really want to give her the benefit of the doubt - but I'm very worried that I won't have these flowers in time for my engagement photos... and then how long do I give her after that, before I call this a SERIOUS problem?

Oh my god, I'm seriously having a panick attack now. I'm going to continue to call her as well, on Monday... I sure hope this gets solved for you. Please have a wonderful wedding - and try to forget about this until you get back. I'll let you know what I hear (if I hear) from her on Monday. Congratulations and have a great time!

I've been sitting with crossed fingers for my flowers (I have a lot of time before I NEED them, but we were going to include them in the engagement photos, so I ordered them like 8 months in advance!). They are absolutely gorgeous and I can't wait to see mine! When I get a picture, I will post it as well! Thanks for alieviating my stress!

Glad I could help, KRAMA! I put a lot of work into this. There is also a book you can pick up from Chapters called "The Calgary Bride". It has lots of useful information - and a table similar to mine (except I found the book, after I had made the table! LOL). Good luck planning! I will definitely add pics!

Hmmm... Interestingly enough - I think I may have confessed a little early about my job. I have been interviewing and trying to get myself out of it (actually, I'm in the same boat you were speaking of - my boss doesn't think I have the guts, honestly) - and low and behold. One of my 2 interviews in the last 2 weeks called me back. She is calling my references tomorrow (which will go perfectly well - my boss isn't one of them, which the new job does know why), and then I will be moving on. Of course, right after this happy news my boss sent me an incredibly evil invoicing project (that I should mention isn't even my problem) and agreed to help me with half - which is a laugh, as she always backs out or finds something else more 'pressing' whenever this happens. I CONFESS - I'm going to feel perfectly evil and PERRRFECTLY FANTASTIC giving her my notice tomorrow morning. Ya! Of course, I'll still probably be stuck with the project - but I will do it with a big smile on my face, as I slowly remove my personal items. Mwahaha...

I'm having my reception at the Varsity Community Centre, over by the university - but I also have lots of information available on Community Centre's as well... please see attached. We are having the ceremony at the Prince Of Faith Church - which is over by the Village Square Leisure Centre. And... We are having a Calgary Flames meets Cinderella wedding (I know - isn't it crazy. I confess... I've been extremely down lately. If I had my way, I would go right up to my boss and quit this job (I'm an IT person, who was shuffled into a Legal Assistant position... I'm using my IT skills to refill printer toner, and explain exactly where the "Any key" is. Seriously.) - but I'm worried about the economy. There aren't a lot of jobs right now... well, anywhere - and most of my experience is life experience rather than schooling - I'm can't compete with some of these people who have been out of work for months. But it seriously is getting to be too much right now. I'm worried I'm only moments away from smacking my boss upside the head.

Hi, Crystal called me back - and then emailed me a reply back. She is stating that I should have my flowers in time, and that they are just hitting a rough and busy patch right now. I can understand that, what with the Wedding season right now. I just really hope to get my flowers - we were going to include them in the engagement photos, if possible. I asked for them to be ready for the 1st of October... I guess we will see! I'll keep everybody posted as to how things go on that front.

cdnvb9, part of me knows your right - and I'm not going to change anything. I just can't help but feel upset. That's actually what bothers me - is half of the guest list is the same, because almost all of FH's guests are his family. I actually have another confession too, which when it comes down to it - I guess I feel worse about then the other one... I'm glad they went first. Because I got to see what worked for them, and what didn't. Also, I now know which of my ideas they took - so I can change them if it will bother me, or I can leave them. Like I said, I do feel better - I guess I just didn't really say what I felt bad about, the first time.

I've seen a few FBIL ones on here. I need to add mine now. I hate my FBIL and (eck) wife. I used to adore him, and then he met this stupid bimbo of a girl, who is 4 years younger than me, who I can't stand. I've been with his brother (my FH) for nearly 8 years - and have stuck by his side, waiting for my turn. He finally proposed last year in the most romantic way - in DR on the beach in the sunset! I got a grand total of 4 days to be the happily engaged girl. FBIL proposed to the twit 4 days after we returned, and she said yes (they had been together for a little over a year at this point). Then they put their wedding 8 months before mine (on purpose; they even said it to us) and stole my thunder. Then she proceeded to take all of my best ideas (she used the bridesmaid dresses I was going to us, she took my cupcake cake idea, and then tried to steal OUR SONG! I drew the line on that one, and had a complete fit, until they changed it. It has been OUR song for nearly 5 years - and she pulled it off youtube and decided she liked it!). Sigh, it feels a little better to put this down here, but I don't think I will ever be able to forgive and forget this. It has somewhat tainted my wedding dreams.

Mandy, That is an excellent idea! I didn't even think about that! I don't really have to worry about the heat - I'm just concerned about being uncomfortable and heavy... but if I change after pictures, I can enjoy the dancing much more freely. Thanks for the suggestion!

I have a question - how many brides out here are getting a separate dress for the Reception? I'm asking, because our budget is definitely of top concern - but the last 3 weddings I've been too, the brides have highly recommended changing. I'm just curious, as it has kind of been bugging me, whether I should start looking for another dress - then again, I want to get as much use out of my dress as possible. It is this dress here, but I haven't tried it on in awhile (long story made short - it is at my Maid of Honor's house. I'm probably picking it up this weekend, actually), and seem to remember it is pretty heavy - it looks heavy, right? Alright, sorry to drag on. ACK! These posts are making me very worried! I've been having such a hard time getting a hold of this vendor - In the beginning it was very quick and sharp, and I was very impressed. But the last few weeks, I hadn't heard peep - so I emailed. Then I emailed again. Then I emailed again. Then I tried calling a few times, and finally was able to leave a message today (before it kicked me off the voice mail). I'm hoping Crystal will get back to me. I have plenty of time before the wedding, but I really don't like not hearing anything - and would appreciate the contact. Otherwise, I can move on to another vendor, while I still have plenty of time. I hope everyone else's flowers worked out, or at least they were able to get their money back. I was so impressed with Crystals customer service - I hope this is just a bad streak, and that she gets back on the ball. I will keep everyone up to date on when I hear from her.
