I figured..it might be too dark anyway..I was looking into renting a house for a day but the majority of homes for rent want a minimum stay of at least several nights which is understandable. Im looking into mulligans on the blue for now..I just want to be able to have dancing and a cake

My Fiance and I are getting married on a beach in Wailea..very simple 10 minute ceremony. We are on a budget and I am trying to figure out how to have a small reception style gathering after the ceremony that is "us", fits our budget, and does not involve a bunch of catering and venue research. If we were back at home, we would be at the beach by our house with picnic tables and fire pits having a bbq. I was wondering if anyone knows of beaches in south maui that have this option available (fire pits, bbq), for something like this after the sun goes down? Our wedding is at 5pm and I think the coordinator says the sun sets around 6:30. This would be perfect - we could have a bbq dinner, and maybe a fire or something with dancing on the beach. I dont know if this is a crazy idea or doable, but if anyone knows or has advice please help!

Im telling my best friends they can come even though my fiance is only bringing his best friends (who are also in the wedding party) its still going to be small and I have a feeling some of the people who I invite arent going to come even though for now they say they are.....the only thing I am concerned about is with the ceremony being so small and my dad paying for my fiance and I, we are going to try to foot the bill for a dinner or something afterwards...and I dont think I can afford to cover costs for whoever feels like coming and bringing guests...eek..so im just going to wait and see who rsvp's and make my plans from there..we might have to have a beach party/bbq style thing after the ceremony if thats possible..

well for one, I felt like I was shopping at a place like Ross because the dressing rooms stank and there was gum on the walls.....not exactly a fun bridal experience...2, on the way out the door I found an adorable dress on the $99 sale rack but had had enough dress shopping for one day. I kept thinking about it and called DB back to ask about the dress and she said it was a sample dress and their store was the only one that had it. I was actually calling for a style number and the managers response was "it only came into our store so dont even bother looking for it anywhere else"......um, excuse me? I wont go there or reccommend it to anyone else either..it seemed cheap and dirty, and all the employees were rushed...the dresses also felt terrible quality.

Did anyone find out what the etiquette is for if you are meeting your officiant right before a 10 minute ceremony? $100 seems a little steep especially since the vows are pre-written

I just booked with Deanne on friday. I am going with the basic package...really simple on a state beach. She was the only coordinator that answered my questions right away via email. I think I found her through Maui yelp and then did some more research. I think they may have even been in the Maui Revealed guide but I am not 100% sure.
