Hello 2010 brides, I am booked for May 31, 2010 at The Grand Mayan/Mayan Palace. I just finished my STD luggage tags(view at mywedding.com/giancarloandvanessa) and am flying to visit family so will be able to hand deliver them. I love the idea of sending electronic invites and STD. I do like the idea however of sending paper invites maybe to your older relatives who prefer the paper invite. Michaels has the "Brides" collection of invites which are beautiful and come in 20 or 30 and with a 50% off coupon you end up paying $15+/- for your invites and you get to print them yourself.

I finished my STD's late last night and it is such a relief but also it makes this dream wedding feel more like reality! I am so excited and the wedding is stil 11 months away. I created a blog to post destination info and so forth on however I am not sure what exactly I should include. Any ideas?

It can be a very overwhelming task however I would go with Nikki07's suggestion and start with a list. Put down things you like and things you don't. For example I knew that I didn't want to have it at an All- Inclusive resort because I didn't want my guest to feel like they had to stay there and most of their packages were only worth it if your wedding guest also stayed at the resort. This alone narrowed my search down by more than half. Lists are your friends. I would say start there. Good Luck!

I know the feeling it took a lot of back and forth before we decided that the Riviera Maya was really our best looking option. We are planning to use Mayan Palace for our wedding. A couple of key things that I liked about Mayan Palace are 1. It's not an All-Inclusive resort. 2. Getting a one week condo there is pretty inexpensive with the right resources. i.e. endlessvacationrenals.com or Holiday Systems International ownership just to name a few.
